Good evening,

today was the 2nd cycle after the increase to 1.75 IU and it was a flat red and pink bounce. Yesterday she responded quickly to the increase and went down below 150 and stopped without any high carb stuff at 121. Unfortunately she bounced back.

We'll see what the night cycle brings. Unfortunately giving the injection is difficult again. It takes a lot of patience where I follow her and try to do my job while she licks some churu which is mixed with boswellia. I don't know what I can do to make it easier for both of us. While I inject I feel it doesn't hurt her. She just doesn't like me doing something with her.

Yesterday night she spent most of the time outside on the now fenced terrace. Seems like she accepted that this is her new territory now. I slept in the livingroom to be nearby if the sensor sends an alarm. We are living a strange life now...

Hope everyone is having a calm and relaxed evening! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Heike, I’m sorry it’s gotten difficult to give the injection again.
Some people give the shot while they are eating.
I’m sure you’ve tried lots of different options. It seems we are always trying new things to overcome a new situation.
I hope the new dose will settle and you’ll see some good and safe surfing. I know with Ivy sometimes it takes her several days until a new dose shows action.
I’m sorry you are also sleeping in odd places (like me).
Maybe overnight you can bring her inside so you don’t have to sleep in the living room?

Wishing you both a good sleep and extra zzzzzzz’s

Hi Staci, without food I could not give the injection to Binie. I usually do it if she gets her medicine (boswellia and b vitamines) with a lick on a plate. While she is busy with licking I inject. At the moment it always takes a while. She stares at the plate and I know that she desperately wants it but she knows if she does, I will inject her. Sometimes I just go away and wait until she starts licking her treat and try again. So far I always managed but it is a lot of tension for me.

Yes, I am also curious how she takes the increase the next days. Always a surprise!

It is o.k. for me to sleep in the living room if Binie wants to stay outside. I know it means so much to her and that disease took so much of her quality of life. I am just happy I don't have to watch her because we have a fence now. And I rather let her stay inside during the day because I feel the heat makes the sensor more unreliable and makes the adhesive to wear off faster. Not being able to leave the house for a longer time without fear is the harder part for me....

I hope you and Ivy have a good nights sleep! :bighug::cat::bighug:

I understand, Heike. I just want to make sure you can sleep.
I know how you feel about the fear and leaving the house. (Same for me).
It seems you have a good system to inject and feed. Sometimes we have to take a break for a few minutes to get them to reset.

I hope you have a calm night and you both rest well :bighug::bighug::bighug:
