So we all survived the weekend, despite car trips with barfing and peeing and whining, and an earthquake!
Cinco, Minka and Sasha did well at Dawn's, and Cinco's eye looks MUCH better today!
Dawn thought so, too. She did a great job with the testing, etc. She admitted she'd never had a diabetic animal stay with her that she tested multiple times, so it was new to her, but she was game and did fine. I printed the sticky on handling low numbers for her, and she said she read it and found it fascinating. She said the site obviously is a great tool with a lot of support. I agreed. She did miss an eye drop here and there, but he got the majority of them, and she didn't miss the same kind twice, so I don't think it's a big deal. If he's still on drops next time, I will mention it, though. We hope to have them stay with her over Christmas.
DH is upset tonight because he thinks he did another fur shot!  I smelled Lantus in the room, but not on Cinco's fur, and there was no wetness in the shot area, so I told him it was possible that there was a drop on the needle when he pulled it out of the vial, and that fell off. I've done that myself. I guess we'll know in an hour or so when I test Cinco!
I was awakened this morning by a call from the secretary of the bowling league. She was watching the news and told me there had been an earthquake in Napa, which is 35 miles or so from our house! She said there were fires, etc. I turned on the radio and got the story, and the rest of the day we fielded calls and texts and e-mails from family and friends wanting to know if we were all right (we are, but we didn't know about the house, since we weren't there!). One of our wine-tasting group members was worried about our wine (not us, just the wine!). We arrived home to find all in tact, just a couple non-breakable knick-knacks had fallen over. Harvey was nowhere to be seen, and it took about 15 minutes for him to come out of hiding. We suspect he hid this morning and just fell asleep in there and didn't hear us come in. He's fine, though.
Well, gotta run get some Chinese take-out, and then it's time to test Cinco. Hope all is well with my LL family. Will try to get to some condos tonight, but for sure will visit more tomorrow.
Sending healing vines to all in need, and hugs to all their beans. :YMHUG: A huge HOORAY and ATTA BOY to Brian and Tyler on going OTJ!!!!! :RAHCAT :RAHCAT :RAHCAT
