Oh. You mean from the urinalysis? The results say 0-2 hpf on red & white so I’m not sure
Oh I see. It’s at the bottom of this image. Something about reference intervalsWBC 9.9 so it’s within normal limits. What is the small letter b next to it. There should be a note about it and I can’t see that part on the screenshot.
0-2 white blood cells per high powered field (HPF) is generally considered normal and indicates no significant inflammation or infection. The results say 0-2 hpf on red & white so I’m not sure
I thought so. It says probably that the reference interval for that value has changed recently (or since the last bloodwork was done.)Oh I see. It’s at the bottom of this image. Something about reference intervals
Oh ok. Wendy & Neko mentioned in my other thread that I didn’t get wbc but I guess I did.0-2 white blood cells per high powered field (HPF) is generally considered normal and indicates no significant inflammation or infection.
Yes. It’s the 0-2 per hpf. That means in the high powered field — where they are looking with the microscope — that only very very few, if any, were seen — so it’s a normal urinalysis result for the wbc.Oh ok. Wendy & Neko mentioned in my other thread that I didn’t get wbc but I guess I did.
Ah ok thank you for that. Maybe it is just the bottle then? It’s worth trying a new one before switching completely.Yes. It’s the 0-2 per hpf. I have but maybe I’m not doing it enough?? I’ve been scared to over mix it bc they said not to shake itb Reference intervals for canine and feline hematology parameters have been updated and the RDW parameter has been added as of July 14, 2025. I too hope it’s simply that the PZI has lost its efficacy. I’ve had it happen a few times but very rarely. Not to state the obvious, but have you been rolling the vial to ensure that the insulin is fully mixed before drawing the insulin into the syringe?
I agreeAh ok thank you for that. Maybe it is just the bottle then? It’s worth trying a new one before switching completely.
Just roll it on the counter before giving the shotI have but maybe I’m not doing it enough?? I’ve been scared to over mix it bc they said not to shake it![]()
Ok. I’ve been rolling in in between my hands to warm it up a lil as well. I just saw a video where she actually turned the bottle upside down a couple times slowly. I never did that.Just roll it on the counter before giving the shot

She didnt offer it to me just said that’s all she had in stock at the moment so it’s unclear.Hopefully that vet is only using Vetsulin on dogs!
Same. A little over an hour until shot timeHow many hours until shot time? I am glad you were off today so you could take care of this. I am also glad you don’t have to keep dreading that phone call with her! I am both excited and apprehensive about the new vial. I am kind of pinning my hopes on the fresh vial and if it doesn’t help I am going to be really upset. I KNOW you will as well, BIG TIME.
