WBC 9.9 so it’s within normal limits. What is the small letter b next to it. There should be a note about it and I can’t see that part on the screenshot.

Yes. It’s the 0-2 per hpf. That means in the high powered field — where they are looking with the microscope — that only very very few, if any, were seen — so it’s a normal urinalysis result for the wbc.
Ah ok thank you for that. Maybe it is just the bottle then? It’s worth trying a new one before switching completely.

b Reference intervals for canine and feline hematology parameters have been updated and the RDW parameter has been added as of July 14, 2025. For more information, please visit idexx.com/hematologyRI.

I too hope it’s simply that the PZI has lost its efficacy. I’ve had it happen a few times but very rarely. Not to state the obvious, but have you been rolling the vial to ensure that the insulin is fully mixed before drawing the insulin into the syringe?

I have but maybe I’m not doing it enough?? I’ve been scared to over mix it bc they said not to shake it 😭

No im off! I got the +2 test and now im at the car dealership for an oil change. Heading back home when im done here. I have that call w the vet in an hour.

I don’t think I’m going to! She knows about the 1.75 and wanted a curve from that (which I kind of have from last night but I didn’t wake up for 1am) after he’s been on it for two weeks but this phone call is a lil before the two weeks bc she’s out of town next week. I’m just going to say he’s still running high & I think it might be the insulin & I would like to try a new bottle & hope she is agreeable.

How many hours until shot time? I am glad you were off today so you could take care of this. I am also glad you don’t have to keep dreading that phone call with her! I am both excited and apprehensive about the new vial. I am kind of pinning my hopes on the fresh vial and if it doesn’t help I am going to be really upset. I KNOW you will as well, BIG TIME.

Same. A little over an hour until shot time

I see you shot, but yes just because of the new vial and we are not certain if it will make a difference. Otherwise, I do think 2 units would be appropriate given how high he’s been running.

Yeah I went w 1.75 bc I wasn’t sure & I was also going out w my parents. I just got home & WE GOT ACTION! 142 @ +5 (while the libre says 167 so that has been working too he’s just been high). What a relief 😻

Can you insert a row into your spreadsheet just above yesterday’s row saying that you started a new ProZinc vial with the p.m. cycle? This will clearly explain why the numbers were so bad and then all of a sudden got better!

I am soooo relieved! I am just irritated that he had to wait so long because of jumping through the hoops set up by your vet. He should at least have had a new vial last week when you took him in for all the bloodwork, etc.

Sooo relieved. I don’t know how to edit the ss at all, just plug what’s already there. The new vial info is in remarks

It wasn’t that I had to get the bloodwork to get new vial. I had asked if it could be the insulin & she said no. I thought it was infection so I went w bloodwork. I probably could’ve got a new bottle if I had forced the issue but we didn’t know

Oh no. I hope he’s not going to bounce from his nice string of blue last night. Probably… because that seems to be his M.O. oh well, at least we know he will now come back down with the new insulin.
