Finally checking in again! Ultrasound and bloodwork today, and things were really good. Bloodwork (CBC and chem panel) was all fine overall; WBC count was a little low but not enough to skip treatment. Even better, the ultrasound showed that the intestinal mass has shrunk somewhat. Still some generalized thickening of the intestine that could actually be IBD or something, but the main mass and the lymph nodes are regressing. So we're sticking with the current treatment for another couple of months. (If there had been progression we would have moved on to the next chemo option.) When he got his Lomustine dose today the sneak spat a pill out in his carrier, but luckily I noticed it before we left and they took him back to give it to him again.

Meanwhile, his Levemir dose has been really stable for about two months now. BG has the usual bounciness, but he's doing well overall. We just keep on keepin' on. :cat:

Yeah! I was just stalking his spreadsheet and noticed a U/S coming up, Finger, toes, paws, and tails crossed here for continued progression. :bighug:

IBD (or small cell lymphoma) are much easier to treat. Could be as simple as a novel protein diet if IBD.

Thanks, everyone! Wendy, the vet mentioned that if he does have IBD, the pred he's already getting is probably helping. So that's something.

Bouncing today (8/27) but I looked back and he ran high for a couple of days after the previous two Lomustine treatments, so we'll just have to wait it out.

Pred would be part of the SCL treatment too. And I seem to remember Lomustine is a second line treatment for SCL as well. Chlormabucil, a milder chemo, is first line.
