1). Watson went to the vet on Wednesday, his jaw is fine after dislocating it. Nothing out of place now and no pain.
2). Since Watson has had runny poops since July 6th dispite 2 different antibiotics, food elimination tests, florastor, Visbiome and psyllium husk powder his vet wants me to feed him Hill M/D food The food chart shows this as 26% carb but the vet insists it’s only 6%https://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB...400-libre-273-meter-check-spreadsheet.294283/
His BG is already pretty high so I’m worried what this will do. Can I just increase his insulin to offset any rise?

It is high carb and I doubt will help the runny stool. Has he had an ultrasound? Is he losing weight? Does he seem to not feel well? Any vomiting? Would this be canned or dry MD? It sounds to me like if anything he would need hydrolozed protein to see if that clears things up. You would likely need to raise the insulin. One more thought though. Did the runny stool start around the time yiu started giving him YA? I’ve seen cats here have that issue with it.

@tiffmaxee
He has not had an ultrasound. They did a bloodwork panel and urinalysis on Wednesday and everything came back looking OK The vet is suggesting the next step would be a CT scan. It is the wet MD. I did try eliminating the young again food for two weeks to see if that made a difference, but it did not. No weight loss or vomiting and he seems to feel fine. The liquid poop is definitely an issue, it’s all over his feet and his butt fur and he tracks it on my carpet.

Oh poor Watson. I’m sorry he’s still got runny stools. And I’m sorry he hurt his jaw.
I hope you can get some w answers about his poops.
Sending you both warm hugs :bighug::bighug::bighug:

@Staci & Ivy
He’s had 4 bg in the 400+ range today and 4 in the high 300’s. My granddaughter was finally released from the hospital today (after 10 days) so now that I can track him better I’ll be increasing .25 tomorrow. He is definitely not eating the Hill MD that the vet wants him to eat lol. I guess I’ll be dealing with liquid poop until I get him an u/s
Thanks for checking on him!

I am so sorry that you and Watson are struggling. Wishing some answers soon to help with Watson's recovery. Is he on a probiotic? It could also be parasitic? Just tossing out some thoughts. Just like us our little sweet ones need gut support/immune support. Parasitic challenges do not often show up in stool because they are living in the gut and embedded in the living organs. That can cause GI challenges for sure. It may not be any of that at all. I am just thinking out loud. Sending you much love and pathways to help get you and Watson to more stable grounds.

I’m glad to hear your granddaughter is home. What a relief for you. Sending good vibes for her good health.
And same for Watson. Good luck with the increase, Rosie.
I hope you can get the poops under control. Poor baby :bighug::bighug::bighug:

So sorry to hear Watson’s still struggling with diarrhea. The visbiome you’re giving him—is it the capsules? It’s not the sachets for constipsted cats, right?
Edit: I empathize re carpets. Tammuz left butt marks EVERYWHERE yesterday before I caught on he’d had diarrhea
