Good Morning L, B, & L ~

Status Quo for Bubba. He is spending more and more time out of the basement and upstairs with us which makes me so happy. Last night he was on my bed next to me almost all night!. One ear still look red inside so I am imagining that the yeast is still an issue. Very stubborn that yeast.

OT: We had a full house on the bed last night! Forrest is not draining anymore and yesterday he actually wanted outside for the first time since his de-opstipation procedure. He is eating pretty good now. One thing I didn't mention after his Thursday vet procedure was that his teeth look horrible! Red and inflamed gums and tartar all ready. It doesn't look like he just had his teeth cleaned in November. They actually look as bad as before they were cleaned and it had been many many years........so deflating. Momma will have to clean his teeth too. I had only been concentrating on Bubba because of it knocking him out of remission twice. Me bad...........
 
Nice to hear that Bubba is feeling better and back to spending time with his family!
The first time we had Boomer's teeth cleaned Dr Larry told us "that should last about 6 months". He said it in a way that sounded like that was a positive thing...a whole 6 months! I felt like :blackeye::blackeye::blackeye: Eventually (starting April 2018) I started brushing Boomer's teeth each day; to be honest he hasn't been back to the vet since then so I don't know whether it's actually helping or not.
 
Bubba's daily beautiful AMPS is a nice pick-me-up in the morning. I'm so glad both he and Forrest are feeling better.
That yeast infection is awful! Hope it's completely totally permanently eviscerated permanently!

Bailey's never been to a dentist, but her vet said her teeth look good. I had never considered brushing them myself. Thanks for bringing this up. I'd like to give this a try, if she'll let me.

I had a kitty like that years ago. In 2-3 months his teeth looked terrible. I just gave up & tried to brush them myself. (didn't do much good) I guess cats are like us some are more prone to problems with their teeth!

Bubba's bg is still looking good. Ravan seems to be stuck in Yellow#'s. I'm thinking of another increase if he doesn't come down by pmps? (It will be 6 cycles since the last increase.)

(Have you heard of a product called Banixx for Fungal (& other) infections. I found this info
This is basically protons in water. It makes a solution that is like a strong acid, but is NOT corrosive. It's toxic to microbes but safe for the skin, or wounds. I'm a formulator in a chemical R&D lab, and was skeptical of this material, but after some investigation I think it really is a good and safe disinfectant. In fact I've used this product on my dog's infected ears and they've cleared up phenomenally.)

This sounds interesting. I'm a fan of Vetericyn, which is hypochlorous acid and acts similarly. I don't see ingredients on the Banixx website; I wonder if it's the same. ... Just found elsewhere that it's "stabilized hydronium." I don't know enough about chemistry to know whether these things are similar.:confused:

Thanks for that info. Before I did the garlic oil I was using Zymox which is an enzymatic cleaner. If it comes back I will try this product.
 
Bobbie could you take a peek at ravan's SS He's in high bg going on 3 cycles. This is a bounce from High BLUE??? I just don't get it. He didn't bounce when he dropped to 41 last week why would he be so long in a bounce from High blue?
 
It sure seems like there are some cats (and dogs) that just have dental issues all the time and others who have squeaky clean teeth. Flora just turned 2 1/2 and already needs her first dental and I have lost count how many dentals Capone has had throughout his life. But then I have Sassy, my little former street cat, who has gorgeous teeth and gums at 11 years old.

Rufus is status quo, which is OK, we're just dealing with arthritis now :( My other "healthy" cat now is draining my bank! Either CKD issues, or thyroid, or both or neither! We're not sure. He's an enigma! Osurnia is really strong steroid! I thought at first that is how Rufus became diabetic, but I later learned that it's not systemic. He had to have it done twice, which is the standard. We had it done at the vets office! It's worth to ask your vet! We were cleaning his ear weekly and it was so gross. Black icky stuff. the Zymox or whatever it's called wasn't cutting it!
