Hi All,
Shorshe is my diabetic 12+ (almost 13) yo.
I have managed to locate some variants of low carb dry food between Bangkok and Singapore (yay!). I know I should try switching the cats to wet food but so far no luck with Shorshe trying anything but tuna based complementary/complete food in jelly/gravy with very very low calorie (like I have to feed close to 10 packs/cans a day to meet close to her daily RER). Currently I am really stressed managing a diabetic cat, a ckd cat and a cat with triaditis with a full time job and single person's income. I tried some freeze dried low carb food (Feline Natural from New Zealand) but she eats around it when I mix it with other food and won;t touch it if it's given by itself.
Is there any opinion on whether Dr Elsey's or Zero is better? Also the Young Again Zero website says to free feed, which I have never done. Does anyone have tips on transitioning Shorshe to the new food? I have ordered a small pack of Dr Elsey's and a big pack of Zero Mature for now.
Also, does anyone have tips for storing dry cat food in hot and humid, non-air con environments over months? I was vacuum packing the food in individual packs but after a few months they still turn up their noses at it.
