Gandalf 1/26 More than Lev can deal with

He was 445 tonight, after 326 this AM. We've been at +12 for 2 days now (Monday & today, 4 cycles) which probably isn't enough to make sure all the changes are cleared from his system, but that 445 tonight is too much, so he's getting bloodwork on Thursday. It's a non-acu week, and I was hoping for a true day off this week (I have not had a day off from work since last Thursday and any day where I don't have to spend an hour driving is a true day off), but Gandalf's vet sees clients only on Thursdays and I can't wait another week to have the acu vet do it.

I should have had it done 2 weeks ago when I spoke about it because his numbers were wacky. Now they're worrying.

(((Gandalf))) Of course I am sending good health thoughts his way.

Maybe it is the cold returning? How fresh is the insulin? This isn't some that could have gotten too cold in shipping is it?

I hear you about the day off. I can well remember those days from when I had a terminally ill cat or seriously ill relative in the hospital that I had to visit every day... hang in there. (((hugs))) to you too, Vicky.

I'm so sorry Vicky.

Yes, 445 for Gandalf is just not right and I know what it feels like to wait for the meter to countdown and then see a number like that.

Glad he has an appointment for tomorrow. Sorry about your day off - sometimes you just need to a day in which to do absolutely nothing!!! (oh how i wish that was my day today but instead i'm out the door to work - please post today's numbers).

hugs, -M

Hoping all goes well at vet and you get some answers.

Sorry about your "true" day off...I wish I could loan you som eof mine! I am aching to get back to work!

Any chance he just needs a little more settle time? Your insulin is still good, right?
