Hard time giving Annie Pills - Parmesan Cheese??

So Annie has been on antibiotics but she's a smart girl and knows when it is hidden in her food. I've tried giving her the pills by hand in her mouth but i just can't do it, so usually i just break it up and hide it in her food. Well she catches on quick. She really needs to get these pills into her so last night, in my frusteration, i sprinkled a little parmesan cheese on top of the 2 pill pieces and she ate them both at the same time. :mrgreen:

Is the cheese good for her? i remember reading it helps entice them to eat, but is it good for her? I'm thinking yes?? i'm only going to give it to her at pill time

I use it to get Sneakers to eat her food. It might be considered a FLNV (food of low nutritional value) but it gets the job done.

Yea, i mean it's not like i give her enough for it to even do anything bad anyway! i just sprinkle a tiny bit only once a day when i pill her.

i'm so glad it worked because i was getting real frusterated. Whoever says cats are dumb, has never owned a cat, :lol:

I swear that Pumbaa would eat dog poop if I sprinkled a little parmesan on it! *LOL* Glad to hear it's working with the pills!

I coat one of my cat Nereus's more distasteful pills in a little bit of Velveeta.
slides right down most days.

Have you tried the Greenies (Pill Pockets)? You can buy them at any pet store.
