Jude went into remission on 4/28/24, but on 10/14/24, his numbers were high. He was diagnosed with a UTI. His numbers have continued to rise despite insulin and the eradication of the infection (they cultured his urine today, and the infection is not present). I'm guessing then that this means he's out of remission.
We started him at .25, but have gradually increased the dose to .75, yet he remains high. Should I hold him at .75 for a few days or go ahead and increase his dose?
I know it's common for the b.g. to be elevated with a UTI, but is it common for them to come out of remission due to a UTI?
Also, I tried to link his sugar sheet in my signature, but clearly I've forgotten how to rename the URL to "Jude's sugar sheet." If someone could remind me how to do this--as I recall, it's not good to link it the way I have.
Thanks!
