I love when her numbers are like this but then she always seems to bounce the next cycle... is that (very) common? Does that just mean her body isn’t ready to tightly regulate itself?

Bouncing is indeed common but, as kitties get used to spending more time in better numbers, levels usually even out more as the body refamiliarises itself with what normal BGs feel like.
