I know Simba's journey to was fairly short, but I don't even want to think how long and awful + potentially unsuccessful it would have been have I not found the FDMB! It must've been around 1am when I came across the message board and my first thought was - oh this looks a bit ancient... But I quickly saw that the FDMB was very active and packed with lots of valuable information. Within the first week of joining I started to test Simba's BG regularly, changed him to only LC wet food, managed to get a prescription for Lantus... all thanks to you wonderful people!

Special thanks to @Bandit's Mom for helping throughout the day and @tiffmaxee for guiding me through the night. My memory of those days & nights is a bit of a blur in between all of the napping, testing and feeding. And of course a massive thank you to everyone else (too many of you to tag ) for your constant support and messages on Simba's condos. My little lion is doing so well and my mama heart is very grateful & thankful for you all.

 

I'm glad that you found FDMB and it worked out well.
I know that I would have been feeding Bandit "prescription" food and keeping her above 150 (every vet I've met has advised me against allowing Bandit's BG to go lower than 150!) if I had followed the advice of my vet!

 

I’m so happy for you. Thank you for doing the hard work and trusting us to help guide you and your handsome boy to remission. Hope he has a long happy life in the Falls. Come back and give us updates once in awhile.
