urine color question Post 7: should I be worried about dehydration with this coloring?

@Suzanne & Darcy @Bron and Sheba (GA) @tiffmaxee new thread and also thank you all so much for checking in on me and Ember and for all of the advice. It is wildly appreciated <3 I have been a rough lil mess these past few days, and the support is amazing. This has probably been the only thing keeping me sane lol

Her spreadsheet is updated with this morning's info - she is down in the yellow's which is great; she's been eating mostly low-carb since the FF is pretty low for their pates I believe; I don't know for sure, I haven't been checking lol mostly checking the fat content and ingredient list for anything TOO awful.

Second round of meds coming up soon, and then going to try and tempt her with some stuff before I head out to the stores to pick up some more treats (bonito flakes if the international market has them, some churus and more FF). Haven't tried the pouched chicken yet, or the chicken stock, and the baby food needs a second attempt, so still have a few "new and fresh" options to try out. I keep going to just a couple stores each day so I'm not gone for too long. Also going to make some frozen tuna water so it keeps longer (basically adding some new water to the canned tuna to make more stinky juice, then going to make ice cubes out of it with some tuna inside).

Still haven't been able to get a urine sample, hopefully can get one soon. She's been on mostly wet food, and she's still drinking (not as much as normal, but some) so hopefully doing ok in the hydration department.

Up to 155 cals for the day! She ate another 1/2-2/3 can of FF (calling low and going with the 1/2 for cal count) plus a whole purebites mixer (salmon and tuna).

still waiting to get a urine sample. She was shaking a bit right after I gave her round 2 of meds (dunno if from cold, pain, or what - breaths were ~28/min), but really proud of her!!

Kara, what I have learned in this Forum is that the most important for a cat with diabetes , are the carbs they intake. low carbs low BG's and better for the pancreas, since cats do not digest the carbs, it turns into sugars, causing high glucose numbers, higher amount of insulin, and the pancreas do not have a chance to recover, my Corky, if you see his spreadsheet and scroll right to the end in remarks, you can see that Corky only eats nothing but FF no higher than 9 % carbs at most, but normally all his meals are between 0-4% carbs, and he is doing marvelous this is what I learned and I can offer. I cannot assist you with your other concerns, however, I will tag other experience members that can answer your concerns:bighug:;):cat::cat:

Yeah, we are just going through a flareup currently (you can see my previous thread link in the first post, it got too long so I started a new one to keep updating) so im giving her whatever she will eat atm (because she wasn’t eating anything) - most of it has been low carb (FF pates, plus pure meat mix-ins, tuna has been a life saver here) so will likely end up continuing with that after we get through this (though hopefully with less tuna lol).

A great Corky and Corky's favorite is FF Fish & Shrimp Feast Flake 0% carbs and Ocean WhiteFish & Tuna Feast 0% carbs, they seem to love those best:bighug::bighug::cat::cat:

had to get her out of the bedroom because it's almost time for meds, and she was so unhappy :( she still hasn't peed since about 8 this morning (its now almost 4). she hasn't seemed to be having any issues with peeing, but idk. hoping she pees soon so I can test and also take a look at the coloring. Feel like we are on the uptrend, but there's still so many things to balance and keep track of (and worry about).

Collected a sample - def still trace ketones and very yellow. since dx, she’s had very diluted urine, so idk if this should be worrying or not? Or just impossible to tell?

Edit to add: got solid poop around 6pm! huzzah! i guess she is probably still recovering from being dehydrated on Friday plus diarrhea on Saturday morning and it can take a couple days. She's eating wet food (no real interest in the dry) and meat, I just don't know what is scary and what is to be expected.

she pooped again (still solid!) but it looked like there was some mucus? (it looked like caramel in some places) and the outside seemed grey and almost like a hard shell with the inside being more brown and kinda mushy.

Does this sound like to be expected with pancreatitis?

Also, are there any anti-inflammatory options (medical or homeopathic) that aren't contraindicated with diabetes?
