Hi everyone and Merry Christmas!I hope you and your sugarcats are fine!
my boy scared me a lot today...He is on Lantus 1.25 IU x 2 for the last 10 days and it seems to work for him as his +6 are about 180.But today for NO REASON he became hypoglucemic .At + 6 he started meowing loudly, even though he was well fed in the morning.I decided to test him and...0,46..
I immediately rubbed honey on his gums (3 times in total) ang gave him his wet food and some dry I have for the rest 3 cats of the house( i know i must switch them as well ). At + 7.30 he had 107 and at +10 had 301.
What do I do? In 2 hours from now I must shoot.

    Wow! Good catch! How scary...

Socrates has earned himself a dose reduction, down to 1.0U. He should be high enough to shoot tonight, and most likely will stay high for a while after that low, but sometimes kitties are more sensitive for insulin for a little while after a hypo like that, so be ready for another low just in case.
