Soft, stinky stool

Milo is on ProZinc, and with improved numbers is now down to 1.0 units 2x a day. But for awhile now one of my 2 cats has been leaving “Hershey kiss poo drops,” and today I found it is indeed, Milo. His stool is usually formed, but is soft, but has THE most foul smell! I hate to make any diet changes because he is doing so well on Fancy feast Pate. And his brother has somewhat harder stool. What’s a mom to do?! I saw some probiotics online, but my boys are 14 lb (Milo) and 21 lbs and the doses indicate they’d need like 5 soft chews a day each, and they come 30 in a bag!

Here's some info on probiotics:

Instead of chews, you can use capsules. A capsule can be pulled apart and the contents sprinkled directly into canned food. A cat dose is usually 1 capsule daily. You want to start with maybe 1/4 capsule and slowly increase to one full capsule to avoid an upset tummy.

There are Human probiotics you can use as well as pet specific ones like Visibiome and Proviable.

A food intolerance can also cause soft poop. Or a particular batch / lot number of food that just doesn't agree with the tummy.
