? switching from Lantus to Levemir - Acromegaly

Hello, I'm considering to switch Jeanne from Lantus to Levemir. Reason is that I have the impression that with the large dose, the insulin is her hurting somewhat.
Jeanne is diagnosed with Acromegaly and currently doing quite well with 31 IE Lantus. The German forum advises to start Levemir with a smaller dose. But as they have only little experience with Acro-Cats, I'm here looking for some more advice on what dose I should the Levemir.
Thanks a lot in advance!

We usually recommend when swapping insulins to take into consideration the previous dose and don't normally recommend a smaller dose. As your kitty is an acro kitty I will tag @Wendy&Neko re dose

When switching between the L (depot) insulins, we go to 70% of the dose of the original insulin, cause there can be a stronger reaction to the switch. If 30 units is her Lantus dose, go to 21 units as your starting Levemir dose. You might end up going closer to your Lantus dose, but with Jeanne on cabergoline, hard to say. I've also seen kitty's not need to go up again.

Thank you Wendy and Bron.
I forgot to mention that currently I'm phasing out Cabergolin. I do not have any indication that it helps Jeanne. With her better blood sugar levels I stopped almost all additional medications. So far, so good, and no signs of cystitis.
She is snoring a lot more and recently she started grinding her teeth while eating. But her neuropathy seems to have improved a bit and she is a lot more active than some months ago. Ultrasound is still on the to-do-list, but her feline friend Mia needed to get her teeth done, so I postponed it to soon.

Jeanne gets Cabergoline every day. I started with a lower dose (5 µg/kg), than she got double the dose (10 µg/kg) and now I'm decreasing again so that it fades out. She seems to be one of thoses kitties with no effect unfortunately.
In case her BG gets worse while I'm decreasing slowly, I might reconsider... But it doesn't look like that at the moment.
