Hello everyone,
I wanted to update you on Riley and possibly get some ideas from anyone who had this happen but first I need to thank everyone for their help. Riley remains in remission but was diagnosed shortly after as CKD so a whole new regimen was started to deal with that. I must say he went downhill fast, to the point that we were going to put Riley down. To give him a couple days of not being sick, I stopped the Clavamox and phosphorous binder, probiotics, cerenia, etc. I stayed steady with the Zobaline and potassium only. Sina suggested we get another blood test and that test indicated that Riley's numbers were going in the right direction and he was completely different at the vet's, not sickly. So we brought Riley back home and he has lead a relatively med-free life however, he is having difficulty walking on his back legs. I am trying to get his potassium level right and with the exception of the kidney infection which I just started him on Baytril tonight, he continues to walk down on his hocks. Any suggestions for that and his sudden aversion to his litter box would be very helpful. Thank you so much.
