Good Evening L&LL,

Continued prayers for those in the path of Hurricane Harvey.

Rusty's breathing sounded really bad last night, but today seemed much better. We took him to the vet for a follow-up in any event, because the Convenia 14 days is up tomorrow. Vet thought he sounded much better. His temperature is still normal (actually a little below normal). He had interest in eating today, too. The vet thought we should continue the Convenia for another 14-day shot, just to be sure that the pneumonia doesn't get worse again. So Rusty got a Convenia shot and also his monthly B-12 shot. Back home he dove into his Wellness chicken (old formula; I still have a few cans). Nice to see him eat!:cat:

Spent some time today listening to WKCR's all-day broadcast of the music of Charlie Parker on his birthday: lots of tapes made from radio broadcasts at jazz clubs and concerts--really interesting. "Bird Lives"--as the old saying goes. You used to see this written on fences and buildings for years after he died (in 1955). When I was in high school our school was so crowded that we were on double sessions. Freshmen and Sophmores had their classes in the afternoon (Noon to 6 p.m.), so I could stay up really late and listen to jazz on my little radio (turned low so as not to disturb my parents). My favorite program was "Symphony Sid", broadcasting from the Royal Roost in NY City. Charlie Parker played there often. Wow!

Going downstairs now to hold Rusty's dinner bowl. Hope all is well in L&LL. Thanks again to everyone for your concern about Rusty. I think he's turned a corner.

I sure hope Rusty has turned the corner and continues feeling better.:bighug:

Good to hear you still have a few tins of Wellness Chicken. My rowing coach has two kitties on Wellness Chicken, and of course they don't agree with the new formula. I've been scouring local pet food stores for the old ones, but no old can chicken to be found. A few of the other flavours still there.

So cool that you could listen to Da Bird live.
