Good morning!
AMPS 193 shooting 1.75u
Will increase tomorrow unless something miraculous happens today.

I slept until 4:00 +8 last night! At that point I woke up on my own. I could see Boomer in his bed. I drifted back to sleep but Boomer decided around 4:30 that he was very hungry and needed his food NOW! I tried to ignore him but he was persistent so I got up and rotated his auto feeder so he could access his +9 fuds. His +6 dish was full; I don't think he had touched it at all. My experiment continues so he had an extra dish of food at +3.

Allen ate well overnight but it appears that our Petsafe 5 once again rotated past his first dish and onto the second one. We have two Petsafe 5 auto feeders and occasionally they will rotate a double turn.

On the agenda today: going out of town and taking a friend who turned 65 2 days ago to lunch.
Yesterday DH and I got out for a walk. We went to our Springbank Park which is a humongous park and is located alongside our Thames River. I found one area where all the birds seemed to be hanging out and I was happy to see a few Golden-Crowned Kinglet; I hadn't seen any for about a year. They are quick little birds and difficult to photograph because they are only still for a second!

Greetings Beth! How are you and how are Teasel's Ozarks cousins? :)
Kris !! Been thinking ab you and yours :bighug: Elmo is hanging in there ..he is the Champion of the Napping in the Sunshine ...bless his heart, he has earned it. We are going thru extended family health issues on both sides which has kept us busy last few months but better now !!

Yeah for sleep! What's up with the double turn? Maybe a call into the company and they might be able to troubleshoot for you ; they are so nice to deal with.

Great photo and glad that Alicia posted the photo of the crown up. I have never seen one ( that I know of)

Yup when the first one started doing it I emailed the company and they sent me a new one. They didn't want the first one sent back so now we're using both. I've lost track which is the old and which is the new one but both do it occasionally and it's usually the first timed rotation.

Hmmm not a bad PMPS. A bit lower than average I would say. Will likely still need to increase tomorrow but we'll see.
Today I tried another experiment with food. Since the very low carb meals at +9 don't seem to help his BG, we tried a 4% carb food at +9. He's getting the same in his overnight fuds so we'll see what the AMPS is tomorrow.

I used to have one of those feeders for Stu, but it malfunctioned all the time and would stop between sections, so he couldn't get his head into the dish! I switched to a nice, mechanical, 2-compartment feeder (CatMate C-20).

That Golden Crowned Kinglet looks like he was posing just for you! Terrific shot.

Boomer: the doscrease threat is on the table!

We have another feeder as well and it might be the CatMate. It is a 2 compartment feeder. I was using it with Boomer for a bit but I find it hard to set with any accuracy as it isn't digital and once a dish opens it stays open; I prefer that Boomer not have access to food for 3 hours prior to PS so that I know there's no food bump in the number.
