Waiting waiting for this bounce to break so we can see what Ivana wants to do with this dose. Will get a +5 in 15mins, that will tell me more hopefully.

Based on this reading that I was doing yesterday, we think Ivana might have excess stomach acid. She has several of the symptoms, including having CKD, decreased appetite including sniffing the food then walking away, vomiting water, yowling (usually in the middle of the night). In light of this possibility, I'm going to be more diligent about adding the slippery elm park to her food twice a day (I've been a bit slack since she starting pooping properly again). I hope it helps settle her little tum-tum.

The SEBslurry has made a huge difference to the number of times Sheba vomits the white frothy vomit when she has an empty tummy. I religiously give it to her twice a day. One goes in her auto feeder at night with some chicken broth ....frozen ...and a small piece of chicken.

The other thing that I found that helps is making sure the tummy doesn't get too empty. With my CKD kitties, I'd be sure they had a small snack available to them during the night to help absorb the acid. Gracie's liver issues also caused her to occasionally have an acid tummy in the morning and as soon as I set up the autofeeder to give her some freeze dried chicken treats at +9.5/+10, she never had an early morning acid tummy vomit again.

Sending anti-stomach acid vines. Harvey doesn't like SEB, so I had to put it in capsules. I haven't tried it on him lately, but maybe I should. I used to give it to Minka and I think it helped her. I hope it helps Ivana.

@Marje and Gracie
I agree with you Marje. I find if I keep something in Sheba's tummy at +9 /+10 she rarely vomits. I put some chicken in with the stock in the autofeeder at night to keep her tummy from getting too empty towards morning.

Look at that, a yellow pre-shot number, yay! Ivana hasn't eaten much today. I don't know if it's because of the SEB or if she's just feeling yucky. Even her favourite mince has only been nibbled at. C'mon Ivana, the SEB will make your tummy feel better, but you have to work with me and actually eat it, ok?

She has eaten food with the SEB in it before, many times. I think she just may be feeling too yuck to want to eat now, which of course means no SEB gets to her sore tummy :(

Well, yellows are better than pinks, and she hasn't moved much in the last 12 hrs (last half of AM cycle and first half of PM cycle). The good thing about these high numbers is that we are finally catching up on all that missed sleep when she was green for a while, so at least next time she feels green we'll be alert and ready :-)
