Thanks for all the replies....My main reason for wanting to do a dental is he has never had one and now that he is on an all wet diet, I am wondering if there is more tarter build up etc. He is due for his routine physical in April/May, so I am thinking since they have to do blood work prior to the dental, I mind as well schedule the dental around the same time. I am also wondering since he is on such a low dose of insulin that maybe, just maybe the dental is what he needs to maybe kick him of the habit.
I think I shall try one of the suggestions of either miralax, squash or pumpkin. It is the last thing I can think of that would cause him to meow so much in the LB. I must admit, I normally do not pay too much attention when cleaning it out as when we made the switch to dry food, people said it would change. I will now make sure I am watching it a bit more closely when I clean it out.
I am hoping once the weather warms up ever so slightly, I can go back to check on him during the day. I now have four brand spanking new tires on my car, I just need it to warm up to MAYBE +5 or so.
He sure is doing great overall, though. He is such a sweet boy, playing a bit more, not much, but I will take what I can get. I am not really enjoying these trends staying in the mid blues, but hopefully he can get down to the greens pretty soon.
@Sienne and Gabby if I want to "fatten" his dose, is there an easy way to do that or is it still just kind of eyeballing what I normally give him and just give him a tich more?
