Last week's 18th birthday bash post

The Falls must be a great place, because Ivana has been loving hanging out there. 68 / 3.8 today :D

Photo from a few hours ago, showing Miss Banana happily reclining on hubby's lap. She was there for over an hour, and hubby was loving every minute of it. She's progressed from walking across laps, to sitting on laps, to laying on laps, to lounging on laps - not sure what to expect next!

In other news, there's a massive rain/wind cell hovering over a lot of the east coast of Australia at the moment - tons and tons of rain and wind, with a lot of flash flooding and likely lots of trees down and damage to homes as well. Hopefully not as bad as the cyclonic storms of April last year. Take care fellow Aussies! Hope it's ok down your way @Bron and Sheba.
 
Latest news alert is that it's going to get worse this evening and tomorrow morning, which means I'm almost certainly going to have to cancel my work appointments tomorrow - there goes $400 :arghh:

Ivana looks wonderful, and quite content in her daddybean's lap! So glad life at the Falls is agreeing with her.

Yes it is pretty awful down here as well. A good day to stay safe inside.
We have been told it is going to be much worse tonight and tomorrow.
They are saying don't go out unless you have to.
Good day to be in front of the fire reading a good book.

Tara, how are you faring up the highway? We have had torrential rains and winds overnight here in Sydney, and had to let water out of the swimming pool three time overnight...... this morning we had water in the garage... :(..... three of us were mopping it up. I'm sure we are getting what you have had about an hour later. Still no sign of it easing, but I know we have fared much better than a lot of people.
 
@Bron and Sheba It's been raining non-stop since Friday night, torrential for about 24 hrs now. Last night it didn't let up and was pelting down all night, and with a tin roof it was super-loud! Very glad to be tucked up in bed. We also had a lot of wind late yesterday. Apparently it's going to get worse today as it comes over us and heads south over you. Lots of blackouts up here, thankfully we're ok (when we lose power we also lose water, so it's a double-whammy), lots of road closures and some people around Tuggerah Lakes have been evacuated. Still, not as bad as the April 2015 storms, and it's a good day to stay indoors and watch movies and sew :-)
 
Sorry to hear about your storm weather. Stay safe. Snuggle with a kitty on the lap and watching movies sounds perfect. Awesome numbers Ivana - and yes, laps rock!
