I don't think today will be a good day for her. I shoot in sides/flanks. Well this morning when I go to shoot and before the needle I brush her fur aside (I don't tent) she growls and hisses at me, tried to bite me. Just touching her fur seemed to hurt her. But I shoot, she turns away from breakfast. I feed everyone, go btb. Hear someone being sick. I find Ollie in spare room throwing up, then she takes herself into playpen and settles down. Face now looks alert and she is purring. I put her food in there. She starts to eat before I leave the room.

Guess she was having a tummy ache. However, I get up again and of course wants to eat, put normal food down. She nibbled then comes to climb my leg. She has been doing this more and more. Nibbles, begs, nibbles. I push food into middle of bowl, she nibbles. She doesn't eat all at feeding time anymore. Constantly back and forth all day.

She does have appt Tues for kidney panel, also want to tell Dr about the head twitch. Still does that off and on.
 
Poor Olive. :( I hope her tummy has settled and she keeps her food down. Feel better Ollie :bighug:

I hope Ollie is feeling much better.
(Too much vomiting this morning.)

What looks like a duck but is not a duck? A common gallinule, which is more closely related to cranes and rails than to ducks (even though they swim like ducks). They are also called the Common Moorhen. What a neat thing to see!

@@Judy and Boomer might be right that it could be a Muscovy. https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Muscovy_Duck/overview But their distribution is not in North American - but that doesn't mean someone might not have imported it. I immediately went to the Moorhen thinking it might be leiucastic - I have seen a lot of leucism in the Northeast US.

Definitely muscovy. They are domestic in the U.S.. They don't swim. They nest in tree cavities.

I have to think someone around here now has free range chickens and ducks. I don't know how far they go in a day. Chickens go home at night, don't know about ducks.
