Cinco is being very noisy about the fact that he is in the lagoon. I told him it barely counts - he's not that wet yet!
I was hoping he'd take advantage of Harvey's absence and move around the house more, but I don't think he's realized it yet. He's still got at least 24 hours, so maybe I'll get him moving soon.
I was awakened at 8:04 am by a call from the student on Harvey's case. He wanted to let me know Harvey was scheduled for his surgery this afternoon around 2 or 3. He also said Harvey had not eaten since he'd been there, so I said I would bring some food this afternoon so he will eat tonight. I would like to see the cages they keep them in - he said he was sitting in the cage with Harvey and Harv was walking around and purring. I remember when Sasha had her leg amputated the student used to sit in there with her and write her notes. They must be pretty good sized. That's good for Harvey since he does not like to be contained and needs to move around, like a shark.
I had just fallen back to sleep when the surgeon called. They had an opening first thing and they were prepping Harvey for surgery as we spoke. She went over what they planned to do, what they might add on if he was doing well, and what all the scarey risks were. She said she and the IM would call when he's out of surgery. I didn't go back to sleep after that.

Minka did not want either the low phos food I offered or the FF, so I waited an hour after her pepcid/ond gelcap and tried again. She ate a little of the FF, but not much, so I gave her some Mirtz. That little stinker just doesn't want anything but FF! I had three cans and two pouches open last night and the only thing she would eat was the FF.
Luckily, Sasha is picking up the slack with the fuds that are higher in carbs, and Cinco is getting the ones that are lower.
On the up side, my hand started feeling better sometime yesterday. Still painful, but sooooo much better that I can type again without wanting to scream.
Don't know if it's the meds, shot or warmer weather (or some combo of those), but I'll take it! I may even slip outside and do a little gardening before I go take foods for Harvey. No weed pulling, but maybe some pruning. Don't want to push it.
Sound like there are a lot of kitties that have been to the vetty today. Vines to all of them, especially those awaiting tests results. We share your stress and pray for good news.
Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans.
Prayers continue for Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF & DH, Lisa's DF and especially Elise's DM.
