Sarge is still bouncing but seems to feel better than yesterday. I was worried about him last night. He was kind of off. I also wonder if one of his hips is bugging him. They have been kind of stiff for a while so he gets Cosequin but in the last several days I have caught him favoring one of them. He has been kind of bad about leaving the Cosequin for the other cats so I redoubled my efforts to make sure he eats a about a week ago. I also noticed he has a little lump in the muscle in that leg lately but I think that is where he got his rabies shot in December. After Lobster gets his teeth cleaned on Wednesday I may bring Sarge in just for a once over. Happy Sunday all!

Sorry to see the bounce today, Alison. I hope that PMPS # is the high before it breaks. You've been at the 1.0u dose for several cycles now. I wonder if some of the more experienced users might tell you that it's time to consider raising the dose. It might be worth asking about. (I'm definitely not comfortable giving dosing advice, which is why I would encourage you to get several opinions on it.)

Do you think he has some arthritis? If so, Wendy might have some suggestions for you. I think Neko has had arthritis for quite a while.

You've been 8 cycles at this dose without green. I'd go up to 1.25U tomorrow.

Pain can cause higher numbers too. Good idea to get Sarge in for the once over. They can X-ray to confirm arthritis, though sometimes they can even feel joint thickening. I wrote about some things for arthritis in Crystal's condo today. Neko has arthritis and so did my Buster (GA).

It has been mentioned in vet visits past that Sarge might have some mild arthritis. I know he is always happier when I can get him to take his Cosequin and not leave it for Lobster or Diesel. He seemed much more limber today. It's crazy one minute he is limping and the next he is break dancing in the living room with a toy. Actually....the later usually does come first. I did go ahead with the dose increase. Tonight is cycle two. Thank you both for your help!
