    I don't think it's working.
Maybe I should increase the R?
Maybe I should drop the R and move to faster L increases?

    Hang in there

Did you switch to another vial of Lantus yesterday AM? I believe the other day you mentioned you planned on doing that.

Fingers crossed for test results tomorrow.

No, I thought I had the clear response to the 9.5uL dose increase Tuesday evening, so I kept using the newer vial.

She is drinking so much water (~19 oz a day), could that disguise/dilute ketones in her urine? She is still testing negative.
She is so hungry and thirsty.

Her diagnosis is separate from my efforts to control her BG, right? I mean I have to control it short term using my current methods.
Will her diagnosis change anything I am doing?

Yes. Depending if the dx is Acro, IAA, a combination of both-or none of the above.

Acro and IAA are two different conditions; the best approach for one may not be the best approach for the other.

Looks like you got a good drop from the R today.

As Sandy says, once we know the test results, the path forward will become clearer. I hope you get those answers soon.

7 hours of red so far today. Could have been worse. She is only lively though when she thinks there is a chance that I will feed her.

Right on! What a good dip today! Some response is nice, isn't it? Pig never sees dips like that... That is wonderful!

It is her best day since 1/19, and it might go even better. Or much worse, of course. Right now I am all smiles.

Nope... Revel in this victory. Do not fear what might come or might not come. Allow you and her a breath. Hard work does not come easy and the results are the rewards. Enjoy them.

That's the whole point of drinking a lot of water, diluting the stuff there is too much of in the blood. This is why when diabetes becomes more regulated you may suddenly see kidney values shoot up -- because the diabetes was making the cat do its own dialysis. As said, negative is negative is ok.
