Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Oh Polly. Geepers, you've got me scratching my head again. I'm getting better though. I have enough patience to hold off on banging my head against the wall for a few more cycles!

Another pre-alarm Polly wake-up. Only this morning, she was dancing on my back while singing something heavy metal a whole hour before the scheduled get-up time. Darn cat.

Other than the numbers, all's well in Pollywood. Picked up a copy of her latest bloodwork, done last week, yesterday afternoon. Looks mostly good. A little upset that they only did one thyroid test, T-4. I'd requested and paid for the whole panel. Might give my vetty a little call this afternoon. Will try to post results on her lab spreadsheet later today or tomorrow.

Work beckons.

Vines and wishes.

i'm glad you're tracking her thyroid. I'd insist on the break-out. Punkin kept testing normal in the overall test, but when i finally insisted on the break-out, he was very low. I'm positive that influenced everything - his BGs had become difficult to control. Good job staying on top of that concern.

Okay Polly, I detect a note of impatience in mamabean's voice- werk that juice girl!!

That is a relief her BW came back so good!!! :bighug::bighug::bighug: Did they run the Total T4 or a Free T4 panel? Sorry there was a mix up!

Hi Marilyn,
Looks like a flat yellow day for Polly. What does that portend??!
It's good that the bloodwork results are good.
Sorry that your vet didn't didn't get all of the thyroid tests: T4, Free T4, T3 ( there might be another one, too. I don't remember). Anyway, it's a pain to have to go back for more blood to be drawn.

Have a fine evening,

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

There's the FlatPolly YellowPolly we all know so well.
Only this morning, she was dancing on my back while singing something heavy metal a whole hour before the scheduled get-up time.
Oooh - back massages, how sweet!

Good news on the b/w results. Did you get urinalysis done too? I took a look at her last year's urinalysis and noticed her protein at +2. It may not mean anything, because many diabetics can test positive for protein. But at some point when you get a urinalysis done again, you might want to ask for a Urine Protein/Creatinine (UPC) ratio done. Acrocats cat be prone to proteinuria. Neko went from a protein +2 to +3 this fall so I had a UPC ratio done. She tested in the gray area but I have no idea if this is significant because I didn't have a baseline UPC ratio to look at. I'm now giving Neko benazapril, but since her blood pressure is fine, I'm not sure if I need to be. Anyway, just something to consider for down the road.

Another flat yellow kitty here in L&LL today....maybe Polly has some ideas for a PJ party tonight? Good news on the BW, but BOO that they didn't do the right thyroid tests. I hope you were able to get them to see the error and that they are correcting it at no additional charge. Have a great evening, Marilyn!
