Yesterday's Condo
Late Condo Queen reporting for duty!
Loooong day!
Cinco was such a good boy and surfed blue for me while I was gone today. He really is my steady Eddy.
Looks like a flat yellow night.
Minka had her chemo today. Because of my concerns about her inappetance, the oncologists decided to do a full panel of blood work, urinalysis and an ultrasound. They found that the only thing in her BW that wasn't normal was her anemia, which has worsened. They gave her an iron injection. Kidney values have improved since last BW.
Her urinalysis showed some bacteria, so they submitted a urine culture and sent her home with Clavamox until a determination can be made on the best AB. The ultrasound showed her left kidney had "irregular margins, but is overall appropriate in size."
Her weight is stable (don't know how that happened, 'cause she ain't eating much!).
The oncologists feel that her lack of appetite is due mostly to the chemo, but may be affected by the UTI and may also be a little psychosomatic, since she began eating after being syringe fed. They feel that continuing the Ondansetron, Pepcid and Mirtz should help. Also, from here on her chemo treatments will be every other week, so that should also help her appetite. They are very happy with her test results and optimistic about her future. I am VERY relieved.
Sasha ate well today and Harvey is still being amazingly docile about being caged. I am beginning to suspect they body snatched him.
The PR rep from UCD selected a photo of each kitty to go in the newsletter, on the website, and on the posters in the lobbies. They'll be sending me a copy of the finished product to review before publication. Very cool.
Now I'm going to indulge in some adult beverages and play some mindless computer games before bed.
Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans.
Prayers continue for Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF & DH, Lisa's DF and especially Elise's DM. Love to all our LL family.
