. He tries and at least he is asking questions and really wants to understand (and he does for the most part) - it really helps to have him for back up.
I was telling hubby about the AMBG readings on Darwin last night - he asked what the PM readings are (were) - so I went over to the SS and read him the numbers (just going down the days since OTJ) - he then asked - "well, why do you freak out when Gizmo gets below 50"
. Maybe some day. 
I think it was a combination of his food and weight. He started at almost 19lbs and he was eating a fairly high carb dry diet (refused canned until I made him transition). He's never been on steroids of anything, but I think the weight loss and transition to a much better diet has been what helped him. Even with the FD, he became healthier than he'd been in a long time!
You guys will get there too! I was just hoping for regulation too...something seemed to just CLICK with his pancreas!I am not even that picky - I would just like Gizmo to be able to stay on the same dose and stay regulated and I would be happy - sigh
ETA - don't get me wrong. I am very happy - Gizmo is doing really well, all things considered.
