Max wasn't asking for food nor did he use his box before I got up for amps but has since then. Appy makes we wonder if it is pancreatitis. If he is still acting off and his BG up I will give him some ondansetron later. I shot 10 minutes late to start to get to daylight savings shot time adjusted. If he were lower I would have just done it in two installments. The only good thing about the higher numbers is I can leave without worries. Now if only less testing would mean more sleep. Darn insomnia

Vines and prayers to all in need with the usual extras.

I'm sorry that Max still isn't feeling the best. Lots of appy vines and purrs to get Max feeling better :bighug:

I've been looking around the forum for pancreatitis stuff since kitty's levels might mean she's heading that way. Do you know if there is something I should be avoiding in her food? Or is it just medication that goes with it? I can't seem to find anything yet.

Piling on appy/feel better vines for both Max and your Mom. I'd wonder about p-titis, too, given his history and the fact that he was recently at the vetty...

Read the IDEXX Rountable Discussion that is listed in the primer. Max gets even more sluggish and usually inappetent or lower appy. Many cats do better avoiding grains. Still for others fish or meat can be a trigger, especially if IBD is suspected. Still others like Max it's stress or a mystery.

I don't know. I'm worried this is something else. He's making noises sometimes when he sleeps but I just heard it now. I'll call the vet if it continues but I just don't know what he would look for.

As they get older, every little new sound or action seems to cause us anxiety, doesn't it? I hope Max's flare will be short one, and that is all that it is.

Sending appy and healing vines for Max and continued prayers and vines for your DM. And :bighug: for you.

This is scaring me. He's uncomfortable. I don't think it's pancreatitis or if it is this is something else too. He ate and went back under the bed.

Thanks! I'll be sure to check out that section in the primer :)

Is it a snoring noise? Or like a little hiccup-squeak? Miss Meows is a snorer but every once and a while she'll throw in a barely audible squeaky hiccup type thing. I think she's dreaming when that happens. Other things to think about maybe: Allergies? Perhaps air quality? Have any of those fires comes close? Something he ate that is obstructing his tummy? I'm just trying to throw out things to talk to the vetty about if you decide to go. Sending a whole bucketload of vines for dear Max.

I'm thinking it sounds like something maybe in his nose or throat. He calmed down and went to sleep on his bed so I left him alone. Now I'm getting my car a smog check. Thanks for the suggestions.

Sorry to hear Max isn't feeling well, Elise!! I know how you feel about those new noises though...with all the sneezes and wheezes we've got going around here lately, each new noise isn't welcome

I know his numbers have you worried too (I've been keeping up, just haven't had much time to post)...sure hope whatever is going on is short-lived and he'll be doing better soon

Sending lots of "feel better" vines to Max...and sleepy vines for you too!!

Thanks, Chris. I think the numbers are tied to whatever this is. His appy is okay so I really don't think it's pancreatitis but it could be that in addition. I gave him some of his ff tonight even though he's eating. He ate half a can really quickly. One day of high phosphorus won't hurt him.

My car failed the smog. It was the self check part. I gave to somehow drive it 100 miles in three days and at least 10/20 minutes at 60-65 mph which means I have to do it very early or late and it needs to get done by Monday. If it fails or if I can't get it done by Monday I can pay $50 for an extension. The guy said if not done it can be towed if parked on the street. Oh, and I didn't read carefully and paid the registration electronically and it says you need the car license number which I didn't know how to do so I double paid and it was too late to cancel the bill pay. The bank said it went out so to call back if both go through.

Different noises can be so unsettling. Neko's breathing is sounding different, and even though I think I know why (acro), it doesn't make it any easier. And of course Max is not used to these numbers so that'll make him quieter too.

Come on down Max, you'll feel better in the blues and greens.
