Yesterday we had some pretty good numbers in the middle of day to PMPS. We started to get a little worried because she dropped at +8 and kept going until a +10 71. But in typical Luna fashion, she shot to the moon by PMPS +1. She came back down at AMPS. It seems like the insulin is kicking in later than it was before. Not sure if it's the food or something else going on.

We've been checking ketones at night and the last two nights were 0.5 and low.

Luna didn't really eat this morning, but she licked a lot of the "soup" that was made when we mixed water with her food. She squatted in front of the bowl like she used to and was there for a while licking. The new food should be here today or tomorrow, so fingers crossed she's just being picky.

We're getting back to normal behaviors; grooming, scratching on her scratching post, growling and hissing at us for holding her in one place for too long. She seems less interested in us, so she's definitely feeling better.

She's been in the high 300s to mid 400s up to +7, and now at +8.5 she's 244. Same thing happened yesterday and last night. She'll probably continue to drop to PMPS. It's like onset is now at +8. What the heck is going on in this little cat's body?

What time are you giving Luna her meals via tube? Didn’t you say it’s higher carb than normal? Just wondering if that is what is spiking her numbers and then wearing off. Or it could just be the normal bounce wobble.

Great Luna report today. Progress that she is licking food.:)

Nutritionist told us to do PS and +4. Our vet said yesterday we might need to adjust meal times.

But I was thinking the same thing. Higher carb food is spiking things and we're probably using a dose that would normally be too much so it still has enough to kick in later in the cycle.

Once she's eating on her own, I think the food is around 10%. But they have us mixing in a nutrtional "shake" too.

Great to hear that Luna is getting back to her spunky self! I hope you get the food/feeding thing sorted out soon...
