Gave her ondansetron (sp) aand she did ok through the night and still ok today. But I am unsure about the latest 2 throw-ups. Sometimes I don't feed her until an hour or so after PMPS , and I think TiTI gets desperate. She eats like someone who's starving to death, and given the enormity of her appetite, I suspect that's how she feels. That kind of hunger is stressful. Both times she's thrown up, were when I did wait to feed her after PMPS. Both times she's urped up some foam and a tiny bit of clear liquid. I don't know for sure, but I think her desperation and her perception that she's starving, could lead to throwing up.

Getting a correct reading at AMPS is difficult. Her overnight food is in an automatic feeder, and she eats her last meal slowly. Her last meal is at 5a, 2 1/2 hours before her AMPS. But often TiTi's polishing off the last of it at 7:30, when I get up for her AMPS shot. Her BG might be elevated by the food.

But whatever else may or may not be going on, it's clear that her BG bounces are higher than before, and if she's hitting green at all, it's after +5 or even later.

Hope she's feeling better soon. I don't know if this is what's going on with her, but my old vet that I loved said vomiting is sometimes caused by stomach acid that they release in anticipation of food and if the food isn't there, they barf (especially that clear or slightly foamy kind). It was true for Asia, there were certain days of the week her dinner was an hour or two later than usual because of our schedule and that's when she would vomit. If she's used to getting food earlier, maybe that's what's going on?

That fits our scenario exactly. Thank you so much!

Can you give her a small advance on her PMPS meal to see if that stops the urping?

Just curious why younshot 6.5 this morning.

Sending tummy vines.

Do you have any freeze dried treats you can give her? Maybe if you give her something like that to tide her over until she eats her tummy won't be upset. :bighug:
This is what I do on Gizmo's last turn of the feeder, it has 3-4 FD rabbit kibbles in there. Not only is it something for his tummy but they are -0- carb and since they are dry the help absorb some of the stomach juices. I will even give him 1-2 in the morning while I am preparing his feeder if he acts like he "needs" them.

Lol. I didn't. I shot 7U. I guess I was writing 6.5 for so long that I went historical.

He tummy's fine again. I think Stacy & Asia got it right, but time will tell.

When she gets pancreatitis attacks she hurls - projectile vomiting that does not stop. Her voracious appetite might be explained by the acro, if indeed she does have acro. I've noticed that she eats twice what my other cats eat, yet she's slender. I think she actually needs this amount of food. I'm also thinking that a thyroid test might be in order. It'll need to wait until my 2 week job yields some money -a few weeks from now.
