Starting the day off in the yellows... feeding at only the 630s and 930s now (ams&pms), tracking his food again. Yesterday tried the longer needle. Today the shorter one again. Will stick from shorter from here on out for a while. Trying to eliminate why we were seeing pinks. Maybe we just weren't dialed in yet and i'm just dissecting my actions even though they aren't effecting him as much as i think (like needle length). Will just have to see where the day takes us now. And we have a BLUE number!! Will be testing at the +2 and +4 and keeping a close eye in case he drops too low tonight. Prepared for that or for a bounce. But happy to see movement out of the pinks.

Well, that was his first blue in more than two weeks, preceded by a day full of yellow. Look at the big picture, Amber. You're making progress!

Yup, he's off on a new bounce. But you got blue - that's great! I agree with @Tricia Cinco(GA) & Harvey - it's progress.

Lest you make yourself crazy, I'll just say that I doubt it's anything to do with the needle length. Use whichever you prefer. I think that this is just his body responding to the insulin. My opinion only, for what it's worth.

Agreed, and it would seem he likes the shorter, smaller needle better now so i will stick with it. Happy to see progress. And i was super happy to see a full day of yellows. At least i now know its a bounce and know what is happening. Which is all thanks to you all -- THANK YOU! You have helped me stay sane in this!

This is an awesome group, isn't it?! I don't know how anyone could manage without people here. It's complicated enough, and cats are each different, that you really do need a personal cat coach to learn it all!!
