Working on day 6 of normal poop. Anti-jinx.

I think he went lower yesterday with that great start and we are in a bounce again. I hate seeing these high numbers though. Would love to reduce the dry food but I am wondering if he will get that calories he needs otherwise. Maybe if I just cut back to half the amount? I don't see the point of the extra calories if he has high BG's?

My S.A.C. spent most the night in his perch but did come later in the night to cuddle with me. This is also the second morning in a row he got up to check out for food. Taking the positives where I can.

Vines for @Amanda and a Loudogg and a quick dental recovery and Allen @Judy and Boomer.

Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts sent to Jones each day as well. The are appreciated more than I can say.

Hey there Tracey! Great news to hear about Jones with no diarrhea!!

I am going to catch heck for this....., but if he is eating dry food and not constipated , but rather diarrhea, and he needs calories, let him eat it. That is just my 2 cents worth.

He is all ready coming down from the bounce. :)

ETA: What is the carb count for the dry you use? I forget that you can't get YA there. Any chance someone from the states could mail it to you?

Hooray for normal poops, and I'm sending vines to this continuing!! He really came down nicely today, considering. That's a hard situation about the dry food. Unfortunately, I have no advice. Thank you so much for vines Tracey, I sincerely appreciate them! I think they're helping as Lou is already so much better than yesterday. Hugs to you and scritches for Mr. Jones! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

The dry is about 26% from the calculations I did. Took me awhile to find a dry that did not contain any chicken and or pork in it.
For the YA - I did happen to buy it and sent it to my sister in Houston, who was coming up for a visit and brought it across the border for me. The bad side....Jones did not tolerate it at all. It contains chicken which is totally out with his IBD. That is why the turkey and rabbit. Even with the NV rabbit it has pork which is why I was searching for the Rawz rabbit that is a single protein. That said the local stray that someone dumped here this summer is having some good food this cold wintery fall. DH has decided he is too skinny (he looks just like Jones).

Trust me the dry is not an option I like and controlling his BG's are a bear with him eating it. But he is eating (without cypro) and he has started to put some stretches of normal poop vs. goose poop. Now the hope is that he can put on about 5lbs of weight. That is how under weight he is now.

Edmonton is about 7-8 hours to the border at Montana. So we are classed as the west in Canada.

You ladies made my day though....thank you!
