Yesterday I got all the low phosphorous, low carb food I was able to find locally, which wasn't much. From AM +9 forward I fed Maggie Tiki Cat ahi tuna and crab. So far, she loves it. The only other brand I was able to find was a couple of Soulistic varieties. I ordered cases of Cats in the Kitchen Fowl Ball (which I know Lizzie has used) and Nature's Logic Duck & Salmon from Chewy.

Got blood on the first poke again this morning. I know Maggie appreciates that!

I've always had luck with my local stores (the mom & pop ones) would order for me and keep in stock the foods and products I liked. Sorry it's such a pain to find low p and low carb.

First poke yay! :D

Low P low carb food definitely isn't easy to find! Fowl ball is one we use as well although currently Boomer is off it lol.
Nice AMPS for Maggie today and I know she'll head to the lagoon later!

Well done! you are definitely on a roll with the quick pokies :), and glad you found a few food options for miss Maggie. I see she's already having a swim around the lagoon o_O, Maverick might just pop on down there a wee bit later :D

@Marje and Gracie I took a urine sample in today to get a protein:creatinine ratio done. Three to five days for results. I asked about Maggie's BP in June and found out it averaged to 110, not 150 like I thought. Of course that's with a regular BP machine. I still need to get it done with doppler because I know it is much more accurate.

Here's hoping that the p:c ratio looks good. Girlie LOVES the CIK foods. Where does beautifully blue and green Maggie sit on the CKD scale - do you know yet?
Wow - I just looked and saw that she's 17 years old - I hadn't realised she was such a senior lady. :)

Maggie is Stage 2 CKD. Yeah, she is quickly closing in on 18 yrs old. We took her in as a stray, so we don't know exactly how old she is, but it is at least 17.

That's where Girlie is, or at least that's what they've suggested. Maggie is a beautiful girl!

I really appreciate the way CIK have detailed the nutritional info on their foods, in all possible combinations (ME, as fed, and dry matter basis). I wish all companies would do this... http://weruva.com/catsitk-cans-nutrition.php

Police patrol - I like that! I may have to put that in my favourite new words list...right next to “pikas” - I love that word! Not the action, though...

"Pukas" - I meant "pukas"! That's what you get for trying to type on a mobile phone with auto correct... :-) I'm sure you knew what I meant, though. :p

I see Maggie was on a mission today! I'd hesitate to offer advice, but I think the skip was a good idea, even if it's only a drop, better safe, you'd have been doing the pokie patrol for a while tonight ;)

She's on the remission mission! I've picked up a couple of useful phrases in the last couple days: "pokie patrol" here, and also "pancreas power switch" from Alicia yesterday.:joyful:
