Yesterday, finally a solarium day.

I just couldn't stand seeing so much pink, so Neko got a couple of drops of R this morning. I'm hoping the blues will help her appy, which has been super picky. Pick at a bit of this, pick at a bit of that. She ended up with a couple syringes of Recovery cause of course she was picky after I'd given the R. :rolleyes:

It's snowing today, quite the contrast to yesterday's sun. Early this morning, Neko went into the hallway and lay down, quite unusual for her. I remember the first time she saw snow. She was under the same window where she saw snow today (her feeding area and now also memory foam bed). That time she rushed into the hallway to get away from the scary stuff falling from the sky. What a memory that triggers. Anyway, today I ended up on the floor beside her and put her in my lap. She stayed there for over an hour today. I wish I'd picked someplace more comfortable for me, but that's the longest lap time I've had with her for ages. Even Theo came and joined the party - it's usually his lap. But he respected her space and started grooming her. And for once, she put up with it.

It's another day where I'll be spending a lot of time with Neko. She in her bed on the floor beside my feet. Poor girl, she's been such a fighter. But I know it's getting close. :(

Ah Wendy, I am so very sorry that Neko's time is getting shorter. And I am glad that you have this time to be with her and snuggle with her and that she is loving the time with you too. Sending lots of hugs! :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Oh Wendy, my heart is breaking as I read this. It's the part of having these special creatures that makes me wonder if I can do it again. Neko will let yo know when it's time. Love on her all you can until that awful time comes. I know you will. The right words just don't exist. She is a fighter though so I hope she fools you. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Nothing else matters right now but spending quality time with your girl. I remember many uncomfortable spots I ended up in during my babies' last days. The discomfort is long forgotten, but the love we shared remains forever in my memory and heart. I hope Neko will give you some more lap time, and some of her special purrs.

I love that Theo is showing his sister he really does love her, in spite of his pesky ways.

Sending you my absolutely strongest vines! You are absolutely correct, no matter how uncomfortable you are, every single second available enjoying Neko and making sure she is comfortable, that's what is important! I spend the last year of Tiger's life sleeping on the floor so she could sleep on the couch in our basement, but I would gladly still be sleeping on the floor. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Our "snow" turned to rain...... I think all the newscasters and the schoolkids were so disappointed! :rolleyes:

Chills as I read your words.... your love for Neko is endless and she trusts you completely....no words can can ease the sense of "knowing" every moment is a moment treasured. My heart goes out to to Wendy.....many many prayers and comforting thoughts coming to you and yours....:bighug::bighug::bighug:
 
I am praying for a comfortable and loving farewell with lots of sunshine, lots of snuggles and cuddles. Your beautiful girl will let you know when it is time. Until then, just treat her to all the things she loves best--first among them, simply being with her mamabean.

It's time. Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny. I hope we can get a little time in the sunshine before Dr. Sue comes over at noon. Dr. Sue is her acupuncture vet and also a regular vet and self admitted cat lady who thinks she once had an acrokitty, but didn't know it at the time. Neko likes her, and Theo knows her too. I want this to be as little stress as possible for my beautiful girl.

We had an amazing cuddle this afternoon. Neko was in her bed and I was hugging her. Theo joined us and we had a menage a trois with him licking both of us. He knows too.

My heart is breaking for you... and i wish i had words of comfort and healing... but only time will make it feel slightly better... there is never enough time... i still miss Seth and if i was offered 5 more minutes tomorrow i would grab them and still always want more time... everything you have done has put her first and even in this act you still are putting her first... you are an amazing loving bean... sending you arms to hold you... hands to brush away your tears... and a shoulder to lay your head on... :bighug::bighug::bighug:Wendy + Neko :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I can't tell you how sad I am to read this news and I know how heartbreaking it is for you.
You and Neko were one of the first ones to greet and help Sheba and I when we joined the forum, and you have both taught me so much along the way.
You know we will all be with you in spirit at noon tomorrow as you farewell him and we wish Neko a safe journey.
