Hello All,

It's been quite a while since I have done a BFG update, he is doing great still OTJ since april 2016, though he's been a little bluer than I like of late, he does seem to go bluer when the weather turns colder:confused::confused:

This morning before he went of to the cattery he was 88 so that made me happy, he is well cared for at the cattery and Asum loves him to bits. SS is not updated, but I test every morning and he is usually somewhere between mid 70's and 110.

There have been some changes to George's home life since I last posted, we have adopted two kittens, Freddie (Federico Garcia Lorca) came first he's an exuberant, confident little boy, and Iris (iris Murdoch) a cuddley, gentle little girl. We took our time to make sure that they were all rubbing along quite well together. Iris and Fred are inseparable, and George gets on with them as long as it is on his terms (well he is a senior so he is entitled to be grumpy at times:rolleyes:)

Feeding times have been challenging, George continues to be a food gourmet so we need to supervise meal and snack times to make sure he doesn't get into the kittens food, long term plan is to make a room accesible (vi microchip cat flap) only to the kittens, and that is where we will feed them.

We were worried at first that the kittens might stress George out, but I think they have been good for him, he plays a little every day, which is not bad for an old boy and he seems generally more alert, they are all indoor cats, but come the evening we all have some supervised outdoor time before the sun goes down.

Anyways, I'll be off the board for about a fortnight whilst we visit our nearest and dearest, I hope that all your kitties stay safe, loads of :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug: scritches and vines to all that may need them, and plenty of :coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee: for those beans whose kitties insist on PJ parties.

:cat::cat::cat:

It's great to hear George is doing so well. How exciting on the kittens. I'm glad they get along with George. Unfortunately, I can't see the pictures.

I can see them now. Squeeeee! Is Iris the one with the ear fluffs? I love that! And the gold eyes, and manny George keeping them in check. So cute! Kittens are so fun, and sometimes really annoying, but still so fun!

Oh the joys kittens bring! Congrats on the new family members. Glad everyone is getting along well. Thanks for sharing cute pics! Best to you. Hope you enjoy your holiday.

Great report. Love the picture of them all laying together. George looks huge compared to the kittens. Lol. :bighug:
LOL that's because he is huge, he's just short of 16lb which is an ok weight for him. I've managed to get him to loose some extra fluff.

Yes iris is the blue eyed tuffty eared one, can you believe that she and her litter mates were found abandoned by the motor way?. She in particular was in a poor state, parasite infection, very bloated belly, a friend of mine that helps out with a local rescue had her for a while, then we fostered her and she worked her way into our hearts, she is the sweetest most gentle kitten, she loves to have her belly rubbed. I've added an iris belly pic just for you.

Thanks carol, the kittens do bring lots of joy, smiles and laughs.
I can see them now too. They are so adorable. Thanks.
Yay! Thanks Carla.
This way works! What great pics. How neat that George plays a bit with the kittens! Have wonderful Holidays, Gill!
Thanks Ella, bfg has been teaching iris to sing from the balcony she has to work on her voice projection though, she's quiet like a mouse. Fred's a natural has a great tenor voice, he's still not sure who his favourite singer is though.:p
George looks very happy with his new "siblings"
Yes Paul, He does seem to enjoy their company, but he does let them know who's boss.

So glad someone scooped up those kittens and nursed them back to health. Poor little Iris. :( But she landed in the best home and there are lots of belly rubs in her future! :cat: I love the ear fluffs, I think I'd be petting her fluffy ears as much as her tummy! We got Toki as a kitten when Asia was about 13 and Toki has been annoying her ever since, but they love each other. Kittens keep the older cats young, that's for sure.

Aw! Kittens! I love the picture of them sitting together. It reminds me of the Friskies Dear Kitten commercials. It's like George is showing them how things work around the house.:cat:

Good boy George for staying in the falls enjoying life buddy. The kittens are adorable and good idea getting two of them this way George doesn't have to be the main entertainer of a wee one. Show them how it's done George! Extra scritches for all the kitts.

What a wonderful report all around! Love the photos.
I'm so happy to hear that George is still doing great. Those kittens are too much... And the photo with all 3 of them hanging out is killing me :D:cat::cat::cat:

Enjoy your holiday Gill, us late night west coasters will try to hold the fort down while you're away :bighug:

LOVE the tummy shot. The kittens are adorable. BFG looks to be in fine form too. Maybe he'll give Iris some more singing lessons while you are gone. Have a great holiday.

What a great update for BFG. Freddie and Iris are adorable and George looks quite happy! Of course, I would, too, if I was a kitty in your home.

Thanks for sharing!
