Broke the bounce, thank goodness. Still poo issues: strained so hard this morning we ended up with pukas but no poo. Finally did manage to get some out, but I think I'll still go with the enema if the mobile vet thinks there's more there.

George's Aloe Vera: we need to talk! :-)

Thank you, everyone, for your support over her high numbers and the poo issues over the past few days: I don't think I would have kept those patience pants on without you... lesson learned...

Prepare yourself, Girlie: the mobile vet is coming - enema relief is on the way (although I'm sure she won't look at it that way; last time I tried on my own, she was incredibly offended). :woot:

I have found that we get a lot of evaporation from the fountain......so she may not be getting as much as you think.

George has his food very soupy, he's not fussy, maybe you could just add a teaspoon of two and she would accept it?

@Gill & George I just thought I'd copy my reply to today's post - I've been starting to confuse myself with where I am!

Good point about evaporation - I hadn't thought about much evaporating over a 24 hour period, but of course, it would. As I stagger her meals, and just give small amounts, a tsp would be too much, but I could certainly fiddle with a syringe and figure out how much water I could add and still have her eat. Good idea!

Yayyyyyyy poo!!!! Woohoo poo! There definitely must be a poo happy dance for occasions like this :p :):joyful:

I'm so happy for her. Her BG afterwards was 232, so she didn't shoot up from the stress of it; it was all smooth sailing afterwards - no dramas and no pukas. She wants to cuddle, and it's a cold, rainy day, so a perfect one for lots of loving. Now I just have to get the preventive measures up to speed so we don't have to revisit this again, I hope. And fingers crossed the constipation was the cause of the high numbers and she can now settle back to her business of learning how to be comfortable in blues and greens again. Happy, happy day! :joyful:

Girlie and I say thank you for your support! Poo is cool, that's all I can say, and my mobile vet gives a great enema. Relief! :joyful:

Now to get George's Aloe Vera Juice shipped to Sydney... :-)

544 at the PMPS: probably not surprising she bounced given the big drops last night and the enema today. Very sleepy, cuddly kitty, still...
