To answer your question, it's best to feed the first snack before onset. Which is typically +2 to +3 for Lantus. Not sure exactly when it is for Djoko. You'll have to do some testing to figure that out. When you see the numbers drop, it's the onset as the insulin takes effect. Feed that first snack about 1/2 hour before then, so he has fresh foodin him to help slow the drop.
