Good morning :coffee:

There is not much to report on Osha. This is only the second cycle since the increase. I do hope she will work the juice within the next few cycles.

It is overcast and raining here, but it is warm at least. It is supposed to get up to 60 today and then we are supposed to get lots of wind and the temperature will begin to drop later on today.

I am going to run some errands, do laundry and do a little bit of school prep.

I hope everyone has a nice Sunday. :)

I wonder if it's worth switching to Levemir over the summer when you are home with her. Sure she'll make it to the lagoon soon. Have a good day Amanda.:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Do you think one week over spring break is enough time to learn and adjust or should I wait until summer break?

I am still trying to wrap my head around what time I should give the shot to get the most sleep. :) I have enjoyed the early nadir so I can go to bed early (although, I certainly haven't been sleeping early at all recently. :))

That's a good question. I think you would be OK after 1 week. Should be able to get an idea of when onset & nadir is for Osha give or take of course.

Most say they get more sleep on Levemir. Me...less sleep but a lot of that is because I feed Doodles by hand every 4 hours. Usually at the very least I sleep from +4-+8ish and then again until AMPS. Many times I fall asleep after PMPS for an hour or so and set my alarm for his +4 even.

Murphy and Rusty are early Lev nadir kitties the majority of the time. Doodles of course is the extreme and mostly nadirs at preshot or sometimes between +8-+10 but not enough to make a huge difference in numbers for me. Depending on where Osha's nadir would fall would probably give you guidance on when to shoot. Sorry if that's not much help.

Ahhh... I just can't process the schedule in my brain! The latest I can shoot is 8am and them the earliest I can get home is +8. That seems dangerous...I don't know. I love getting my +4 before I leave for work. And then I just keep thinking I will be up all night with levemir. I am going to try it, but my head is spinning.

Besides being flatter and more predictable on Lev, I really liked getting more sleep. Or worst case, longer stretches of sleep between tests since she didn't drop as fast. Neko was also a late nadir Lev kitty, and if she nadired at preshot, I was awake. :) Some cats do nadir earlier around +6, but if Osha does the typical +8, you could get up for the +8 test, then shoot and head out the door, returning time for AM +8. On the other hand, if she does a Lev onset at +4, that would be a good one to get out the door. It just depends whether you'd prefer to be around for nadir or onset. Some Lev kitties onset hard.

Sound like a spring time experiment. It took me almost a month to feel as comfortable with Neko on Lev as I did for Lantus. And it takes kitty a while to learn to work the new juice too.

Thank you for your thoughts Wendy. I am nervous about the switch and super used to our current patterns. If her nadir is +8, then I would still be waking up at 4am, which I am doing now for shot time....I just don't want to be dealing with light green that early in the morning. I shoot at 4am now, but can go back to sleep without any worry until it's time to get ready for school.

I guess there really is no sleep with this dance. I've adjusted, but in the beginning, the idea of a night without 8 hours of sleep was inconceivable.

I LOVE my girl and I will find a way.....but only with all of the support from everyone here. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
