Yesterday's Greenathon

Another lovely surf, if you ignore that AMPS (and I'm trying to). I love the way Cinco's numbers are coming down pretty much every cycle (anti jinx). I just wish we could get the PS numbers down. And what was last night about??? Sometimes he just has to be a cat, I guess.

Sasha seems to be doing well, although she's getting tired of the z/d, even with the Forti Flora. I haven't seen a poo from her yet, so I guess I'd better go scoop the boxes as soon as I'm done with this. Minka is eating well :) and Harvey is still on a Pred-induced food binge. Tomorrow is weigh in day for them, so we'll see who has gained. My money is on the Harvster.

Spent the morning on the phone dealing with technical issues, and now I really need to get my rear in gear and work out! Then I have a ton of copying to do so I can submit our medical expenses for reimbursement before the deadline. Medical spending accounts are very nice, but the paperwork at the end of the year is a real pain! They switched to a debit card this year, so I'm hoping it will make it easier, although I think you still have to send them the receipts at some point.

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans. :bighug: Prayers continue for Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF, DH and DGD, Lisa's DF, Chris' DM and Elise's DM. Happy Annifursary to Mr. T - I'm glad Melissa and Crew have something positive to celebrate.

Hey Cinco! What do they want from us?? They complain when we're yellow and then they complain when we're green..especially that light green! A cat can't get a break!..and then they accuse us of being up to something (wink wink) Who, us??? (wink wink) ~China

Will be interesting to see how the weights come out tomorrow...the girls sure seem to be eating better lately and well..Harvey is Harvey....add the prednisone and he's "Super Harvey!"

As for the AMPS...you know that if you hold the meter just right, you can't see that first number??...LOL

I agree....pretend the AMPS didn't happen...everything else looks amazing.....

I was going to work out tonight, but after leaving work, it is too damn cold to do anything.....can you do a work out for me? Thanks!

As for the debit card, I think the only time you need to submit is when they don't accept the debit card....I, too, have to get some stuff in order and send in, so thanks for the reminder :)

Okay, it's unanimous. That AMPS never happened. ;)

As it turns out, I didn't get the workout in (darn!:p), so sorry Molly. I get distracted easily and got started cleaning out some purses that I had left lying in my room and kept tripping over. When my back started bothering me recently I realized I was going to have to downsize from my customary Mary Poppins carpet bag to something much smaller and I left a lot of stuff in these two favorite purses. It took about an hour to get it all redistributed, but I made it a point to go up and down the stairs multiple times, ferrying items from one place to another, so I'm going to count that as working out! :joyful:

Stairs are the best workout!

I've heard that the "dawn phenomenon" (higher numbers at AMPS) occurs because the liver is getting the cat prepared for whatever the day might bring--pumping him up, essentially.

Looking forward to the weigh-day results!:p

Have a good evening, Tricia. Have you considered one of those "back bags"? I wonder if they still make them.
Just looked it up. LL Bean has them in leather; they are made by AmeriBag and you might be able to find one in some other, less expensive fabric:

Good luck!

Yay! Blue PMPS! Dawn phenomenon, hmmmm. I'll go with that. Yeah, that'll work! ;):p

Thanks for all the visits! We had a good dinner - I gave Sasha a mixture of about 30% z/d and 70% Dave's Turkey and Giblets and she was much happier with that (her lb deposit was back to her normal consistency). Minka ate all hers, in two sittings (with me holding the plate for one). I don't have to tell you how Harvey and Cinco did. :woot: However the most popular part was dessert. I made tuna noodle casserole and they get the tuna water! Yummmmm! I swear Harvey knows when I am making it, before I open anything. I just take the cans out of the pantry and he's right there, going crazy. Sasha used to come all the way downstairs, like she knew, too. Now she doesn't do the stairs very often, but she was waiting for me at the top!

Thanks for the link, Ella. I actually have one of those (not from LL Bean, but the same design). It's the larger size. I don't really care for it, as it's mostly one big compartment and it's a pain because it's so deep and everything falls to the bottom. I prefer purses with several sections so I can find stuff. I have medium backpack style ones, too, which are better for you than shoulder bags, but I also find it annoying to have to take it off every time I need something - especially if I'm wearing a jacket. I'm just hard to please!

Casserole's almost done. Gotta go make the salad. BBL.

Glad everyone did well today. Cinco is in a mission!!!

No worries....I worked out enough for all three of us today. ;);) 30 mins each ok?

I like green surfs. Really, I do. Could we maybe surf just a tiny bit closer to shore? Please??

What - he went up 5 points! Hey Cinco, I think she meant the 70's. :D:D:D

Good luck with the weigh in's later today.

Look at that beautiful sea of greens....way to go, Cinco!! Wonderful on all those happy appies, too!

I'm the same way about bags....so darned fussy it's annoying!! On top of the compartment issue, I have oddly small shoulders, so a lot of bags slide right off if I don't have the right kind of strap. Anything crossbody is too uncomfortable, and I'm always paranoid about a back pack being "pick pocketed". Ah, it's a tough life sometime!!

@Tricia & Cinco
I've seen your picture - you don't need to work out

Thank you, my dear! It's more about health.....at 92, my grandmother climbed all 100+ steps in Neuschwanstein Castle with me. My mom, at 75, was barely mobile brcause she was inactive. I want to still be playing golf and hiking when I'm old ...and 60 is quickly approaching! I don't want to take all the meds Mom takes and I don't want to be w victim to my genetics (diabetes, high BP). I'm fighting it all the way, girl :joyful::joyful:
