Happy Caturday L&L!

I have a feeling he may be bouncing a little. I did a modified curve yesterday (couldn't get the +10 cause of work obligations), but he'd come down more than 100 points by +6. Last nite at PMPS he was 266 and by +3 he was 248, so he may have even hit blue last nite if his PM cycle was anything like the AM cycle.

I was so exhausted last nite that I fell asleep on the couch before +3. My son woke me up and told me to go to bed and when I said I still had to test Flame, he offered to do it, so I could get some sleep. I love my son!! I must've really looked like crap for him to do that because, while he'll test Flame for me if I ask him and he has to, he really doesn't like doing it. But he did, bless his heart!!

I have to be out for part of the morning and then again in the afternoon. This morning, my dad and I are going to choose a headstone for mom's grave. My dad is mostly blind, so he can't really see, so this decision will mostly be me choosing something. I'm not really looking forward to this. This afternoon, I have an appt with Flame's vet for acupuncture. I'll get some tests in as I can today.

Flame seems to be doing OK. Thank goodness, his breathing has been stable. Today is the LAST dose of Pred!
His appy has been good (he was REALLY hungry yesterday) and he's been eating the food with the binder now with not too much of an issue. I've been working him up to the full dose this week. I also added 1/2 cap of Methyl-B12 to his food last nite and 1/2 cap this morning. I got the Vitacost ones (500 mcg) were recommended from Tanya's site and it was recommended to split the dose between morning and evening meals. So far, he's eating his food with all this stuff in it, including Cosequin.
Also going to talk to the vet today about when we should repeat blood work so we can keep an eye on his levels and see if any of this stuff is helping. Praying that it is!!

Have a good Caturday all! Vines and prayers for all in need this day. Kitties... behave yourselves!!

He went up 40 points in 2.5 hours!! No idea what's going on now except chalking it up to a bounce from last nite maybe. totally opposite of yesterday's trend.

Any input here? Probably bounce? GAH!! 1 step forward, 3 steps back!!

Hi Donna, I guess it could be a bounce, but I suspect it's the cat :cat:. Perhaps he's reacting to the meds and supplements? In any event, I don't think this is cause for alarm. It is normal for numbers to rise before onset. Try to get some tests in today and see what he does.
I hope that you and your dad will have a good day while selecting a headstone for you mom and sharing remembrances.

It looks like from your post that you have a lot to be Thankful for regarding his breathing and eating and taking his meds, and the LAST dose of Pred!
I hope your day goes well with your Dad, and you find just the right headstone. Keeping you in my thoughts.
Your son was a doll to help you out last night. ;) Maybe Flame went into the blues for part of the evening cycle and is having a bounce. I hope the acupuncture visit goes well and helps Flame to feel much better. Hugs to you for all you do.

What a great report about Flame's appy and eating his fuds with all the supplements and meds in it. I wouldn't worry about the 40 point hike, it is most likely a bounce from all those yellows yesterday and like you said, he could have hit blue last night.

Good luck on choosing a head stone today with your Dad. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I'm glad Flame is eating and his breathing is good. I hope that continues without the pred. Sending prayers as you and your dad remember your mom today. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

YUK, YUK, YUK!!! Stinky pinks all day!! No movement. :( This has to be a bounce. Other than a couple of pink PS numbers he's been in yellow for days and when he has had a pink PS, he's come down... but not today. Maybe it was the threat of going to the vet!!

His appy is good... crying for food again. Gave him a small snack of baby food after his +8.5 when we got back from the vet. He had an acupuncture treatment, mostly for the arthritis, but she hit some kidney points as well. He wasn't happy. He was fine for about the first 4 minutes or so, the last 4 minutes not so much! I think this poor kid is tired of being poked with needles!! Then, while we were there, he got some fluids. Again, not happy!! I think he's REALLY done with being poked with needles. He paid me back by peeing in the carrier on the way home!! Take that Mama!! :cat:

Giving him a pokie break til PMPS, cause he's pretty much done with that too!

@Ella & Rusty & Stu(GA) @Dyana @Bobbie And Bubba @carfurby Thanks for your messages today. My dad can't see, so I had to describe things to him today. We picked a beautiful headstone of black marble/granite (?). I had this picture in my head of sunbeams parting the clouds representing Mom's spirit shining down on all of us. Angels are also very special to me and in the months before Mom's passing, I had my friend and Reiki teacher giving her Reiki. At almost every session, while sharing Reiki with mom, she perceived an Angel with mom cradling her, so I wanted an Angel on the stone somehow. I found the perfect stone. This will be for both mom and dad, so there is an Angel on each side and in the middle there is a field of clouds with sunbeams coming down.

Dyana, I truly do have SO much to be grateful for !! All that you mentioned and so much more!!

I'm attaching a picture and I hope that's allowed. If not I'll remove it or ask one of the mods to do so, but since you were all so very kind today (and every day) I thought I'd share. He had a picture of one he did like it, so I took a picture of the picture.

I hope you all and everyone in L&L land are having a peaceful and enjoyable Caturday!! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Donna, the headstone looks like exactly what you were looking for!

Sorry about the stinky pinks. I hope the numbers start to come down after things settle down from Vetty stress and the acupuncture grabs.

Sounds like you have had a very stressful day. Hope you can relax some tonight. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Flame is more or less flat today. Remember meter variance. I hope that means something more interesting tonight. I suspect he needs a bit more juice, but we'll see once he's done pred. And thank goodness for that!

Neko wasn't so fond of the needle sticks at the acupuncture vet. After the first couple of sessions of those, vetty moved onto mostly using the acupuncture laser with just one stick on the head for the endorphins. I hope the acupuncture helps Flame's arthritis. It really helped Neko.

I'm glad you found the perfect headstone.

Hi Donna, That is a very handsome headstone. I'm glad the day turned out well.

Have a good evening. Flame, you get to relax with only ear pokes tonight!

I got the low carb/low phos foods I ordered from Onlynaturalpets. @Doodles & Karen was nice enough to let me know that you could order just a few cans of different kinds from there. I ordered different types of Weruva b/c they were the only ones with flavors I thought he'd like.

Holy cow!!! I knew he was hungry and crying for food, but geez oh man!! I put down a can of Weruva Chicken Frick a Zee with the binders and Methyl-b12 and he INHALED IT!! He never eats like that!! He's always been a nibbler. You know what that means now, don't you? He'll be crying for food again around bed time!! I'll have to figure out something for overnight snackus!! So, I'm thinking the Chicken Frick a Zee is a hit! :):cat:

Came down just a bit. Still in pinks. :( SO HUNGRY all day today. Been hanging in the kitchen, every time anyone even goes near the kitchen he's stalking his bowl and crying for food. He had a bit of baby food after +8.5 test, had some freeze dried chicken treats in between, inhaled his Chicken FrickaZee for dinner and still crying for food. Just gave him 1/2 can of Weruva PawLickin Chicken, thinking he'd nibble. NO, he inhaled it again.

No idea why he is acting like he's famished today. Higher numbers? Meds? Supplements? He's driving us all crazy.

Almost bed time. Sweet dreams everyone!! :bighug::bighug::bighug:
