AMPS 149:eek::eek::eek::eek: shooting .75u
Boomer didn't eat any of his +9 and left about a third of his +6. GRRR. That's certainly not helping his AMPS but I think my boy needs to go to 1u. However I just started a new insulin vial last night. How long do I need to wait before increasing him (just in case the new vial is actually more potent than the old stuff)?

So frustrated re Allen.....trying my best to find food that is good for him but it's so frustrating. I just tried to look at the info for the dry food the vet has him on (to help him poop) which is Royal Canin gastrointestinal fiber response and they don't even have a breakdown (not even guaranteed analysis which is garbage anyways) on their packages......not sure how they get away with that but supposedly its because it's only available through the vet and you have to trust that your vet is selling you the best food for your cat :rolleyes:. I've emailed them for their info on dry/canned foods that support CRF and diabetes and asked specifically for the phosphorous amounts to be stated as mg/100kcal. GRRR

This morning's routine was worse than yesterday. I followed the same routine as yesterday but Boomer decided he didn't like his food so while I was trying to get Allen's meds ready Boomer was standing by my feet yelling at me. And of course DH was sitting at the computer about 5 feet away ignoring everything that was happening around him and playing some stupid game. GRRRRR:arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh:

Ok rant over and it can only get better today. First breakfast then exercise.
 
I would give it 4 cycles on the new insulin. If there's a change it should happen in that time frame. Ugh on the morning routine. My DH can be quite clueless and other than helping me stay awake at times or adding unwanted 2 cents, not much help comes. This list has several of the RC foods listed. I hope you can find some food that will help Allen. I think it is criminal that the pet food companies don't offer clear information on the food right on the label.:banghead:

I am sorry your DH wasn't helpful this morning.

I know he would have just been in my way had he tried to help although he could have crumbled a treat on Boomer's food to get him to eat, that would have helped!
 
when the kitties are yelling at me i tell them there is more of you then there is me's... i can only go so fast... and yes DH sitting feet away tuning it all out here too... hope the day gets better :bighug::bighug:

To add to the aggravation.....as I was researching foods for Allen, DH is standing in the kitchen telling me the cardinals and blue jays are looking for peanuts. sigh. Yes one needs a certain level of expertise to put peanuts out for the cardinals and blue jays and apparently I'm the only one that has that depth of knowledge. :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

When I was talking about it early this week Boomer decided to give me good numbers that day :rolleyes: so I didn't buy it. Then he decided to give me not-so-good numbers so DH picked it up yesterday and we used the new bottle last night.
 
Yup, the dosecrease threat works again! :D Good job, Boomer! But just a hint, buddy: Mama won't feed you any faster if you holler at her. In fact, she might even slow down! :eek: Better to just wait for it - you know it's coming! ;)

The two intestinal foods that RC has on Dr. Lisa's list are 20 and 30% carbs.

and 260 and 280 phos. Don't know if the one you're feeding is one of them, just with a new name, or if it's a completely different formula. I know companies like to change names to drum up new interest.
