I have come to several conclusions this morning: 1) It was not a furshot - it was a bounce. 2) The bounce is broken. 3) Cinco thinks I need to get up earlier. Who needs coffee when you have a kitty that greets you this way in the morning?!
And yes, I retested. Got the exact same thing, even though it was the other ear! How often does that happen?
DH disagrees with me about the possibility of a furshot, but I told him he doesn't understand the way Lantus works. If it had been a furshot, he would have kept going up last night, but he didn't - he came down a little. If it had been a furshot, he wouldn't have dropped so far so fast this morning, because some of this morning's shot would have gone to replenish the depot. Am I correct?
Anyway, all's well that ends well, and he came up quite nicely for me. I overreacted and gave him some 6% at +4.5, when I should have seen that the 3% he had for his +4 breakfast was perfectly adequate to bring him up. Hopefully he'll just surf now.
Usual morning here - Harvey CPC and begging for more, Minka and Sasha eating part of their breakfast and then turning away. Tough crowd.
Sun is shining brightly today, although there are still some ominous clouds around. Showers possible. I'll be happy either way.
Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans.

I would argue that Rosa is a newly diagnosed diabetic, so more likely to respond to the next dose like that. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!

She's otherwise just fine - took a flying leap off the counter after her Vitamin E rubdown, before I could get her clothes back on her - did that naked toddler dash across the room before I caught her! Silly girl.
Meds all were administered successfully and Minka's fluids only required one re-poke (I am soooooo not good at this). At this point I would normally have an adult beverage, but I settled for two bourbon balls. Now off to the Land of Nod....
