Happy appy, snuggly, spunky, feisty, and anti-jinxes.

They were forecasting at least 18" of s*** and had/have us under a blizzard warning right now. We did get some snow over night, but since I've gotten up it's seems to be all rain or a wintry mix. We are right at freezing, so I'm not sure why it's not snow. I'm not sure if the rain is better, only because we had about 4" of snow to start, so this could turn into a very heavy, ice scenario. We'll see....

To make matters worse, DH is still feeling under the weather himself......argh.

I'm going to attempt to be somewhat productive....I was in a terrible funk yesterday and just could not get anything done....

Prayers to all.....

Amy

Same here Amy... horrible out there. Snow first, now sleet for hours and now it looks like the snow is moving back in but still mixed with sleet. YUK!!
Glad to see Trix doing well. Hope you DH feels better soon! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Love the Trixie report! The civvies all good?

Our relentless rain finally got rid of the last pile of white cr*% on our lawn yesterday. What a winter! Until December we had gone about 1000 days without the white stuff, so it made up for it this year. Bring on spring!

We are getting lovely snow! Lots of it! Conditions might even be too dangerous for our 8-mile snowshoe to Avalanche Pass tomorrow, but we'll go on Thursday if that's the case.

Sorry you're getting freezing rain and sleet. That's the worst mix of icy conditions!

Trix: lookin' good. Vines for DH.

They seem to be, although I'm a nervous MamaBean (what else is new??). Frankie seems to be settling down a bit, so I guess the HyperT meds are kicking in now. She's one week in. I hope she doesn't lose ALL her spunk...she's such a happy, playful girl.

Yesterday Zen was having appy issues, but Zen, Noah, and Petey (littermates) all have random occasional issues...they all have sensitivities. Zen, in particular, though, does. He can't tolerate any fish at all, and apparently same goes for beef, or so I believe. Since he'd been a bit finicky lately, I went out and got a new thing to try. It had beef fat in it. Within 5 minutes of eating it, he barfed it up :eek::confused::blackeye:...that's how he is with fish, too. I don't think he's ever had beef before, so I'm assuming that's the culprit. I took that food back and got some without fish or beef...he ate that one right away, and it has stayed down. It is REALLY hard to find food with no fish, beef, or fancy extras (cranberries, etc) these days....

DH is feeling crappy, but he's out contending with the icy snow. This is one rare instance where I would have preferred real snow - fluffy lightness, even at 18", would have been easier to deal with than this super heavy icy stuff. I can do a lot, but I can't manage the snowblower (or at least I never have and this isn't the weather to learn in), and he is SO fussy about how the driveway is done that I don't even want to consider using a shovel....

I agree Wendy...c'mon, spring! Just last week we were in the upper 60s....bring it back!!!!!

Sorry about the ice storm - that is indeed worse than snow. I hope you get to spend the day inside and snuggle with your kitties. Sounds like the perfect day to curl up on the couch with a book.
