Ah well, at least she changed the colour scheme this morning. Whining for breakfast four minutes before the alarm was to go off, whining for attention after the beans attempted a quick btb. I didn't mind the latter one and did oblige her with tummy rubs and scritching to go with her purrs.

It's raining with no chance of solarium weather today. You know it's one of those days when the banner across the weather forecast page says "rainfall warning in effect". There's a decent chance I might be able to try my new rain jacket if we get out rowing tomorrow.

TGIF - last day of spring break here. We've been looking after the neighbors dwarf hamster and today might be the last day we'll have to check in on him. Kitties have been interested in sniffing my hand after I've handled him.

Feel free to send some of that rain down here. All we have are clouds. Normally I don't mind cloudy days, but lately I'd really prefer they drop some rain on us. Ugh on this drought!

Neko, ditch the balloon. It's just a lot of hot air! C'mon down and relax on the shore, maybe wiggle your toes in the lagoon. Cinco will keep you company!

Ugh, ugh, ugh. Gotta get me one of those pea shooters to pop a hole in the balloon. It's been 6 cycles since she saw green. Tonight she's getting some fresh juice. It's day 41 on the cartridge and the last one in the pack but I bought some more Levemir today. Cartridge should last longer but we'll see. Cheapest yet - $115 for a 5 pack at Safeway. I also got Neko's chicken soup flavoured bupe so that's another type of fresh juice on tap tonight.

@ Amy, Suki, Tricia, Marilyn, Elise, Ruth, Carla, Serryn - Thanks for admiring Neko's aerial skills. Beans took the opportunity to go see a movie (Chappie). Action out back consisted of removing forms from concrete. They still have to do the ones on our side of the retaining wall - I'm sure that'll involve stomping on more plants. There's a big lump of concrete on our property I want them to remove too.
