Just popping in to say I hope Phoebes is feeling better today. Hoping the Adequan shots help her out, that is my next step after cosequin which so far appears to be helping.
 
You know because your excited about a 261 at +11!!!!! :) :) :) holy moly that's nice to see at this point!!!!! Work that juice Phoebes!!!!
 
Good luck with the Adequan - it might not be an immediate improvement, but should help more and more over time.

To answer the question "how you know your sugar baby has been in high numbers too long", the answer in part is in how hard it is to get them down to good numbers again. Taking her down to 4 units (now up to 4.5 units), is not doing her any favours. There's a good chance glucose toxicity has set in and you are going to have to go quite a bit higher to find a dose that brings her down below renal threshold for a good part of the day. She was seeing less pink on 5.5 units. I know you are following the guidelines of your vet on dosing.:bighug:

Thank you Wendy, I am hoping the adequan helps too. She needs it. But today was the first day in months she jumped on the couch to try and sit on my chest. Which is something she did daily up until Jan this year, might be my imagination but she really seemed to "feel" better today. Even purred a few times. I am hanging on to these little moments. :) hugs

That must have been such a sweet moment for the both of you. I hope she will string a lot of those "little moments" along and continue to feel better.
BTW, my 13 year old dog gets Adequan shots and it really has helped him.
