Milo yesterday

Milo had a nice recovery from the fur shot. Made sure he got good clean shot this morning. Can test more today as I am home.

Hope everyone has good numbers and a good day.

After what looked like a really good start on Levemir, it seems that streak has left as Bud isn't doing too great. I switched brands of syringes, I wonder if that makes a difference, like maybe one brand has markings that are a little "off?" I think I'll switch back and see what happens.
Come on Milo! We like those blue preshots!

Keep trying with the Levemir, it takes time. I'm not the one with lots of patience, but that's what everyone here keeps saying I'd patience. It's taken us almost 8 weeks to get here. Lots of trial and error. Hope Bud starts seeing good numbers soon.

I gave Prozinc 4 and half months before I gave up on it. I'm definitely not giving up on Levemir anytime soon, I know it hasn't even been a week. I was just so hopeful when it seemed to work so well right away only to quickly return to high numbers. But, I'm really starting to wonder about the syringes as it seemed to even look like less in one syringe vs. the other.

I've been getting mine at Walgreens. I use a slightly thicker gauge. It is their brand with half unit marks. I really like them.

The ones I was using when I saw better numbers were BD brand and I got them at CVS. The other brand I've been using is ReliOn from Walmart. I like the needle on the Walmart ones better as they are a smidge longer. (Bud has a lot of fur!) I'll switch back to the BD ones tonight and see what happens. I could also bring them to work to test how much they dispense at half a unit mark as we have analytical balances here and see if there is a difference or if I'm just making things up. LOL

Nice recovery Milo!

Stacy, you could start a Bud condo and see if people have thoughts on those two syringes. Lots of people here have found differences when switching syringes. Maybe someone has experience with the two you've used.

I was honestly surprised at PMPS number. Gave the full 5u dose. I'm happy with how he came down after fur shot yesterday.

I was really surprised to see green at +4.5. Nadir isn't until between +7 and +8. Two differences today are changed shot location and switched to super low carb food.

I had been upper middle back moved a little down off to left. Had been in same general area for too long. Read in Tinas thread yesterday about moving location. Figured it was worth a try

I was upper middle back too until I recently lost my confidence in shooting and have moved to the scruff where Bud has a bald spot.

Is it BELOW 50 that I need to start to really watch and give more carbs. Two green tests in a row. Low numbers early in cycle... New for us.

Give him a couple of tsp of low carb food to encourage a surf. Save the HC for under 50. Isn't this a good problem to have? :D
