I'm not going to bother getting a +10 on her today as we just got back from having her nails trimmed at the vet. I'm not sure half an hour is enough for her levels to come back down to where they should be.

It was funny though - I'd sent her spreadsheet through to the vet yesterday and said if they had anything they needed to ask me about, I'd be in with both the cats today. When I got there, the vet tech said that the vet had told him that if I needed to ask any questions about the spreadsheet, I'd need to set up another appointment to talk with the vet. It wasn't me who had the questions - it's usually the vet who isn't happy with the ss! And Rosa's put back on most of the weight she'd lost - she was 8.6lb when she was diagnosed (down from about 10.25). Today she's back up to 9.8lb. As I pointed out to him, her general condition speaks for itself - I don't have any concerns about whether or not she's doing OK in general with the way I'm managing her!

Yes, she really gets THAT stressed at the vet. I'm not at all surprised by that PMPS even almost 3 hours later. I don't think it's indicative of a lack of insulin - just the amount of stress she actually feels there. Proves my point that taking her to the vet for a curve would never have told me anything useful!!

Yikes! That doesn't seem like normal Rosa at all! My civie once tested over 200 at the vet and 53 at home the next day.

Wow, Rosa! Tell us how you really feel about the vet!

My vet stopped taking Noodle's BG in the office since I home test. She says she never feels she gets accurate readings in office and likes to avoid it if possible!

Oh she's a dreadful stress-head at the vet. And of course, again they didn't listen to me. I asked the tech if he would come and get me if she started getting stressed. When he brought her back he said she'd been fine. Then after he'd taken Regan for her nail trim he said how much better behaved Regan had been than Rosa was. I wasn't happy at all - right after I'd said to them that I didn't want her getting stressed because it would affect her BG :P They didn't test her at all, just cut her nails and weighed her but she hates everything about the place.

Then they asked me about a fructosamine test...again. They only just saw her ss!! I pointed out to them that she's been under the renal threshold consistently for over a month and asked them what exactly they hope to achieve by doing the fructosamine. They couldn't actually answer that question! ;)

She's coming down again nicely now fortunately :)
