Purrdy - behave yourself this morning while your mumbean's at church!

Vyktor is doing okay. He is eating much better while I'm home for the weekend shoving food in his face at regular intervals. It's very odd, he'll come out to his food and have a bite or two or just sniff it and walk away but then eat when I follow him back to his sleeping spot and hold the bowl for him  I did have to go further than just hold the bowl yesterday and actually hand feed - yuk! On the plus side he did wander outside of his own accord to pee and he didn't scream when I took him out for his forced walk later (I drop him at the other end of the yard so he has to walk back). He also gave me my first little love bite since his mouth was done :joyful:He's also being very loving and I have decided that the most important thing at his age and stage is for both of us to soak up the love at every opportunity - he seems to feel the same.

He has his recheck this week (Wednesday) at which time we will sort out having his US done and also discuss the treatment options for his faucitis. In particular I'm going to ask him to contact the specialist that Ruth found to get his views and also see if the stem cell treatment is an option here. Vyktor is a very independent and dignified cat and does not react well to being medicated so these are things that I will need to weigh carefully in choosing the way forward. I hope I will be brave enough to make the right choices for him rather than grasp at every option on the off chance it may help but thereby create a pile of side effects and take away his dignity and QOL.

[All good things must come to an end Vyktor my love, I hope we're not getting too close yet but when the time does come I promise to do my best to support you in the way that's best for you.]

And to end on a brighter note - whoo hoo we have poop, right on schedule!

Vines and prayers are being sent your way. Getting old sucks at times for beans and kitties. I hope you find the right treatment.

Purrdy is looking great. I'm glad Vyktor is still eating for you. Maybe you should try feeding him by his sleeping spot to see if he'll eat on his own. It is hard when our kitties have health problems. I hope you can find a treatment plan that works for Vyktor. :bighug::bighug:

I am so impressed that my vegan friend was able to put her hand into the oogie cat food, just because her little guy needed it, and feed him by hand. You go Serryn! :);)

Sending piles of vines for little Vyktor. Sometimes as you move forward, asking questions & getting more information, the way becomes clear and the decision becomes easier. I hope that happens for you in making decisions for him. :bighug:

Purrdy is having lots of nice green cycles. His ss is still a mystery, but i'm glad for the moment it's all looking good.

No one can question your devotion to your furbabies, Serryn. Apparently Vyktor feels that way, too. I'm sure you'll make the best decision for him as you get all the info you need. Meanwhile, continue to treasure the time you have together. It does go by too fast. :bighug: Sending lots of healing vines.

Purdy, look at you in a green suit! You're getting used to wearing it, aren't you? Way to go! :D

Purrdy, you look fantastic! Big applause for your mum's patience. Long half hour between tests, I bet.

Vyktor, you got the bestest, smartest bean. But eat a bit on your own, please. She could use some smiles, I think. Just hugs from me Serryn. Vyktor is one lucky cat.

It's all been said- Go Purrdy! :D:D

So glad to see a report for Vyktor- and glad to hear he's eating! :confused:It is most disgusting to finger feed, but I have had to do it as well, and I'm not even a vegan and it grosses me out... But you do what you gotta do, especially for magnificient Vyktor! Mega vines and prayers for you and paws crossed for a good vetty check. :bighug::bighug:
